Dream

A black cloak with red clouds on it fell to the ground as Sasori revealed his body which he had turned into a puppet. He brought three summoning scrolls and summoned one hundred puppets from them. He was trying to kill his grandmother, Chiyo, and a girl with pink hair and green eyes. The girl punched him and broke him into several pieces. He just strung himself back together. Chiyo sealed him so he couldn't use chakra, but the container in his chest baring the kanji of his name was gone. It showed up in another puppet which now had his face. He stabbed the girl with the sword in his hand. Chiyo stabbed him through the container with the puppets of his parents. He soon fell over. A scroll and his headband, which had a line scratched through the Sand Village symbol fell away from the him. A puppet that looked like Rikku was summoned by the scroll.

End Dream

Rikku slowly opened her eyes. She was laying in a campsite. It was dark and there was a fire going in the middle. Sasori was sitting besider her, but Keiko was nowhere in sight.
"Did we fail the mission?" Rikku asked trying to sit up.
Sasori put an arm around her and pulled her close to him then said, "I destroyed the enemy shinobi. Keiko got to Iwagakure safely. We're on our way back to Suna. You shouldn't move. You're still weak. Actually, you should be dead."
"What do you mean?" Rikku asked.
"Your heart stopped three days ago. I was about to maek you into a puppet, but you started glowing goldand you came back to life. You haven't been in very good health for the last few days. You're running a high fever now," he replied putting a hand to her forehead.
"I probably know why," she said reaching into her cloak for a kunai.
She brought out the kunai and sliced her hand causing Sasori to take it away from her. Her blood was an inky black color and came out ashlike.
"Thought so," Rikku said leaning on Sasori and lifting up his arm that wasn't around her.
Sasori just watched as she pushed his sleeve up exposing his arm. She then lifted his arm up to her face and sunk her fangs into it. Sasori gave a small whimper of pain as the blood left his arm revitalizing her veins. She pulled away dropping his arm her head falling against him tiredly. Although the blood of others kept ehr alive, extracting it took a lot of energy. He's probably going to abandon me now. I'm not stuttering anymore! I'm stronger now! That still doesn't change the fact that he probably hates me now . . . Rikku blushed when she realized he was still holding her.
"I don't hate you. You can't help being what you are. I can't hate you because of that. You know, you're cute when you blush," Sasori said holding her chin in one of his hands.
She turned a brighter shade of red then embraced him softly. (reb04: Remember, she's exhausted.) He put the arm she bit around her shoulders returning the hug.
"How long was I out for?" she asked.
"About nine days . . . I seriously thought you were going to die . . ." he whispered letting go and laying down.
Rikku laid down beside him. Sasori pulled a blanket over both of them.
"Shouldn't one of us stay awake and keep watch?" she asked.
"We'll be fine. We're still in Earth country. No one will attack us here," he replied brushing her hair out of her face.
Rikku blushed again making Sasori chuckle. This only made her turn a brighter shade of red, so she turned over. The moon came into her view. Her eyes widened in shock, then began to change. Her grey eyes turned crimson, and her fangs grew longer just passing her lips. Her skin turned a papery white, and her hair became black. She got up and picked up Sasori by the collar of his shirt, slamming him against a tree. She was about to bite his neck when he put his hand behind her neck and hit a pressure point hard. She fell forward onto him unconsious turning back to her normal self. What? He didn't kill me? Anyone else would have panicked and stabbed me through the heart right there . . . What could this mean? What is this feeling? Could this be what love is? No . . . I learned that 'love' doesn't exist . . . Could I be wrong? I'll ask him when I wake up, if he doesn't abandon me . . . which he probably will . . .

Rikku woke up the next morning to find that Sasori was carrying her on his back.
She placed her arms around his neck, put her chin on his right sholder, and whispered in his ear, "I'm awake. I can walk now."
There was sand as far as the eye could see. They were back in the desert. Sasori put her down and she soon got a brilliant idea using her new power.
"Sasori, I know a way we can get back to the village faster," she said suddenly stopping.
"How?" he asked walking over to her.
"Just make sure at least one of your fingers is touching me and let me do the rest," Rikku replied.
He put his hand on her shoulder and she started making hand seals. They began sinking in the sand. They were soon under the sand.
"Make sure as long as we're down here, that you're holding my hand or something. I don't want to think about what would happen otherwise, Sasori," she said turning red at the thought.
He just nodded and grabbed her hand. She turned crimson and shyly looked away from him. What is this feeling? Why am I blushing so much? It's embarassing. She soon brought them back to the surface. Sunagakure was a short distance away. Sasori let go of her hand.
"If you think I'm mad at you about last night, I'm not. You couldn't help it. You had a vampire sealed within you. It waswn't your choice, besides, if you were normal, you wouldn't be as much fun to be around," he said.
"Do you really believe that, or are you just saying that so I won't use you as a meal?" she asked.
Sasori stopped walking and grabbed her wrist, "I really believe that."
They got to the edge of the village and Rikku stopped dead. Oh crap . . .
