The chaos and buzz of the Warped Tour. One of my favourite places to be. Constantly on the move, always partying, seeing all my friends... there was nothing better. Wait... how could I forget? Performing. I got to get up on stage and do what I loved best. Me and Mike wrote songs on the way to venues for the next album... Life was pretty much perfect.
Except for one thing.
Love.
The very pinnacle of all my songwriting. Without it, I was left with bitterness and lyrics which sounded like they'd come from a sixteen year old who'd just been dumped by his first fuck. You know exactly what I mean. You think it'll last forever... then she sleeps with one of your best friends. Ouch. Or maybe that's just me.
Point being, everything wasn't exactly brilliant. As main lyricist, I was being counted on to write something inspiring, not something reminiscent of teenage poetry.
That's where "the plan" came in. Sisky, being the stupid bastard he is, suggested whilst wasted, that they bring a girl backstage every day after the show until they find one that I like. When we all sobered up, he still remembered. And everyone else agreed. So... it was becoming sort of like a shitty reality TV show, minus the cameras.
William Beckett... lost and lonely out of love.
Now, there's something you don't hear every day.
"Jaycie Jaycie, how did this happen? Jaycie Jaycie always fucked up and screwed over. Matt Matt Matt..you know what Matt? Fuck you. Fuck you. Fuck you."
These were the thoughts rolling over in my mind before Sisky had to come and break them, but it was probably for the better.
"Hey Jace, want to help me out?" Sisky said stopping in front of the chair I was sitting in.
"Have I ever not?" I replied with dull instinct.
"Of course not! Okay, well I need you to find girls."
"I'm not ordering you're strippers for you." I said still staring off into nothing.
"No, not for me. For William and not strippers. Just find girls at the show and get them back." He said kneeling so that we were eye to eye, "Please?"
"Does William know you're doing this?" I replied with the same bored tone finally looking back at him.
"Yes, he does. It's kind of like a game." He said catching my gaze and holding it.
"How do you know who wins?" I asked not really caring for the fact that he just referred to hooking random girls up with William as a game.
"Whenever William likes one enough to keep." Sisky replies with a broad triumphant smile like he just won the fucking Olympics.
"He can just go through girls like he does his clothes and expect to just keep one like a lost puppy." I reply almost defensively, maybe the alcohol's getting to my head.
"Whatever, I'll figure something out, kay?" I say before he can respond. Earning me a smile and a nod before he leaves me once more to pour over my thoughts, only with one more chemical added to the equation.
"Jaycie Jaycie you need another hit, Jaycie Jaycie find William a girl just like you. One to hold one to break one to fuck and throw away. Jaycie Jaycie whatever will you do. Jaycie Jaycie you need another drink or maybe two. Maybe if the chemicals mix you can forget that he even exists. Jaycie Jaycie.. you still love Matt Jaycie Jaycie you're still hiding the knife in your back."
Danger! Danger!
Jaycie Lane on a losing streak, watch as she breaks.
Hollywood hills and suburban thrills... ♥

I love this boy.
