Unfair [6] Name Calling and Hard Feelings

READ THE MEMO!!!!

Malfoy sat down next to me.
"Like the show?" he asked
"Not really, that was a freakishly short show." I teased even though that was totaly not true
"That's not what Pansy was just saying."
"Ugh...spare me the details please."
We stayed up talking for hours, but it only seemed like minutes. We suddenly realised that we would get in trouble if we were found outside. We were standing to leave when we heard Filch talking to his cat. We looked around, but Filch was walking down our only exit. We only had one choice. Jump in the lake.

"No!" I hissed to Malfoy "This outfit is Arkimand."
(Arkimand is a famouse fashion designer in the wizard world)
"Well fine, you can stay and get detention." Malfoy whispered back
I let out a long sigh.
"Get in and close your eyes." I said
"Why?"
"Just hurry up and do it!" I hissed
Malfoy got in and turned around. I quickly took off my outfit and stashed it in a bush. Then I climbed in. The water was FREEZING!
"Did you seriously just take off your clothes?" Malfoy quietly chuckled
"I thought I told you not to look!" I hissed loudly
"Sorry, couldn't help it."
Suddenly we heard Flinch's voice call,
"I know you're out there kiddies! Show yourself!"
We quickly went underwater and swam towards towards the school. We managed to reach the shore(sp?) without being caught. Once finaly inside the school we collapsed to the floor laughing quietly. Suddenly Malfoy stopped and looked at me. I was only wearing a pink bra nad matching pink panties.
"Here." Malfoy said
He took off his shirt, said a spell to dry it, then handed it to me.
"Thanks." I said as I slipped the shirt on
It was big on me, big enough to go to about mid thigh. We walked in silence to the Slytherin common room. We were almost there when we heard two voices, Ron and Hermione's to be exact. We both looked at each other wide eyed.
"Hide!" I whispered as I pushed Malfoy behind a large sculpture.
"Hiya." I said to Ron and Hermione
"What are you doing out of bed?" Hermione asked
"I don't know," I lied "One minute I was in bed dreaming that I was walking the halls chasing after some shadow, and the next im awake and standing here."
Hermione doesn't look convinced.
"I'm gonna half to give you a deten-"
"Hermione.." Ron cuts her off
"What Ronald?" Hermione asked impatiently
"Maybe we shouldn't give her detention."
"Why not?"
"Because...u kno...Harry."
"Oh, yeah." Hermione said
"Listen," I cut in "you don't have to not give me detention just because I'm Harry's girlfriend."
"Really," Ron said "just go to bed."
I shrugged and walked to just outside the slytherin common room and waited for Malfoy. It was about three minutes until he finaly came.
"Salizar." Malfoy quietly said the password
We entered the Slytherin common room.
"Thanks." Malfoy said "for keepin me outta trouble."
"No problem." I replied
"Well, goodnight."
"Goodnight."
I could have sworn he was about to kiss me, but I quickly turned around went up to my dorm. I managed to quietly slip inside without waking any of the other girls. I quietly slipped on some shorts so i had on something other than just a shirt, and climbed into bed.

The masqured(sp?) ball was in a week. I was SO excited. That morning Dumbledor made an announcment.
"I am sorry to say our preformers for the ball, have canceled. Tryouts for some entertainment will be held today after classes. We understand there are many talented students here so each preformer will be limited to one song."
I thought about this all day and finaly decided to try out. I was heading to my last class, potions, when I saw Harry waking in front of me.. I snuck up behind him and placed my hands over his eyes.
"Guess who?" I asked
"Hey Ginny." Harry said
I was stunned. I dropped my hands from his eyes.
"Actualy, it's your girlfriend." I say angrily
He slowly turns and faces me.
"Um...that's what I ment. Stephany." Harry said
"Stephany and Ginny don't sound a whole lot alike." I said
"Well..." Harry started
"Harry baby! There you are!" Ginny called
"Baby?" I asked
"You didn't tell her yet?" Ginny asked Harry
"Tell me what?" I asked
"Stephany, listen," Harry said "you are a really great girl and everything, but Ginny and I are just....destine for each other."
I stood there staring at him in disbelief.
"I thought you loved me.." I said
"I do, but I'm just not in love with you."
Jeeze that's an old line. My shock was soon replace by anger. I felt my face get hot. Once again, my eyes were red. Ginny looked like she wanted to run, but stood her ground. I didn't want to attack them like I did Jenna, but I couldn't get the anger to go away. I breathed slowly and counted to ten in my head.
"How could you do this?" I asked, trying to keep my voice quiet
"It just sorta happened." Harry said "One day we were just friends talking, the next we were snogging on the Gryfindor couch late at night."
"If you wanted to calm me down that was the wrong damn thing to say!"
Just as I felt myself about to loose control, my anger was replaced with sadness. Tears built up in my eys, all I managed to do was shake my head and run towards the potions room.
"Strphany wait!" I heard somebody call
I stopped and turned to see my Jenna running towards me.
"What?" I asked
"I saw what happened and-"
"And your glad that my first relationship with a guy that wasn't interested with you was ruined."
"well.....no...not really." Jenna said "I mean, I admitt, it is a little wierd that a guy liked you and not me, but i mean, he could have done better than Ginny. I mean, at least your hair doesn't clash with your pajamas! I mean what if she and Harry had a little late night thing, what would he think?"
"This isn't helping....at all." I said
"Well then you'll just have to go to one of your little friends for comfort."
"I don't have any friends." I mumbled as I walked away
awww....thats depressing!
I sat alone down in the back of the potions classroom at an empty table. I looked a few tables ahead of me and saw Harry and Ginny sitting together. Harry tugged a piece of her hair and she giggled. Harry used to do that to me, and I would giggle just like that...
"Hi." I heard somebody say
I looked over to see Malfoy sitting next to me.
"Whoa!" he said "I could leave if u want."
That conversation with my sister had turned my eyes red again.
"No, you can stay." I said
"What's wrong?" Malfoy asked
Could I really talk to Malfoy about this. I mean, I trusted him sorta since he had kept my secret so well, but could I talk to him about Harry? Would he take it to mean we were friends? Were we friends? I didn't know. I just sat there staring at Harry and Ginny as I thought these things. They were now snogging. I felt tears form in my eyes again and slowly begin to fall onto my potions book, smearing the ink a little.
"Oh." said Malfoy who was following my gaze
"How could I not have seen this coming?" I asked "Why am I so stupid? Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!"
Everytime I said the word stupid I slammed the palm of my hand aginst my forhead.
"You're not stupid." Malfoy said
I just shook my head. And continued to cry. Malfoy gave a long sigh then asked,
"What are you doing to me?"
Then he pulled me into a hug. I pressed my face aginst his chest and cried. I couldn't help but notice how his abs felt pressed aginst me, and how his cologne (sp?) smelled. Once class started he released me. No matter how hard I tried I couldn't concentrate and I couldn't stop crying. Every once and a while a small sobbing sound would escape me. Eventualy Proffesor Snape asked,
"Is there a problem Miss.Heart?"
"No proffesor," I said "Th- There's no problem at all."
Even I could tell how bad I was at lying.
"Well, could you stop crying so I can get on with my class?"
"Yes proffesor." I said
He started at me for a full minute as I bit my lip to stop it from quivering and blinked back tears. Then he sighed and said,
"You're excused from the rest of class, but I still expect that thousand word essay on the lust potion by monday.
"Yes proffesor." I said as I picked up my books
I accidently dropped a few, when I went to pick those up the other books in my arms fell, alot of kids laughed.
"Mr.Malfoy," Snape said "Would you please make sure Miss.Heart makes it to the Slytherin common room in one piece."
"Yes sir." Malfoy said
He picked up my books and led the way out of the classroom. We walked silently. Once in the Slytherin common room Malfoy handed me my books.
"Thanks." I said
"No problem." said Malfoy, then he left and I went to the girls dormitory

After classes finished, I headed down to the great hall for the tryouts. The line was LONG! I waited silently for an hour and a half before it was my turn. I had decided to sing muggle song called Leave(Get out) by Jojo. (Lyrics and music video in the results)
When I finished the teachers applauded.
"That was wonderful Stephany. You'l be on right after Miss.Little"
"Thank you proffesor." I said then left the room






That weekend at Hogsmade, I like many other students, went in search of the perfect masqured(sp?) ball outfit. Finaly I found this dress:

I was just exiting the store when Draco ran up to me.
"Hey." he said
"Hi." I replied
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing."
My voice hadn't had any enthuseasm(sp?) in it at all since Harry dumped me. I could have found a bag of galleons on the street and I wouldn't have been happy.
"Oh...well since dumbledor won't let us have a holloween party with costumes, we're throwing one in the room of requirements. I'm inviting you."
"Who else is going?" I asked
"Anyone in year five through seven."
"Even Gryfindors?"
"Yeah....but don't worry, if Potter comes within six feet of you I'll hex him."
For the first time all week, I smiled, and giggled. Malfoy smirked at me.
"Shall we go look for costumes?" he asked as he offered me his arm
"Sure." I said as I hooked my arm through it
We entwined our fingers together and walked to the costume shop. It was so much fun looking for a costume with Malfoy. In the end, he decided to go to the party as a surfer, and I decided to go as a gothic fairy. Really all his costume was was a pair of swim trunks.
My costume looked like this:

While Malfoy and I were heading to the three broomsticks, Harry walked up to us.
"Malfoy....Heart." he said in hello with Ginny hanging on his arm
"Pothead...Weezy."
That remark came surprisingly not from Malfoy, but from me.
"Harry!" Ginny whined "Are you gonna let her talk to me that way."
"Now Stephany, I know you're upset but there's no reason for name calling and hard feelings." Harry said calmly
"No need my ass!" I exclaimed as my face grew hot "you break up with me for her and then you dangle her infront of my face! Who the hell do you think you are!"
Suddenly I start to get dizzy. I'm just barley clinging to consiousness(sp?) when I feel a pair of strong arms wrap around me and somebody whispering in my ear.
"Don't do it there not worth detention. Don't do it."
It was Malfoy. He let go of me...then I blacked out.
