The New American Classic (Part 5) Taking Back Sunday?

I went back to my room and noticed a photo album. There were pictures of Adam, Fred, Matt, and Eddie doing typical guy things in it. Then I saw pictures of Adam on stage, I felt curious and turned the page.

I then saw Adam I the next few pictures with different girls, all of them were pretty.

"Who is this guy"? I asked myself.

"How can you be so stupid, he's from the band Taking Back Sunday", I heard a voice from the door.

"Hey"! I turned around glaring at Fred mockingly.

"He didn't tell you"? Fred asked sitting next to me.

"No he wouldn't".

"Oh".

"So I'm guessing you're all in this band too"? I asked. Fred shot me a look that made me feel stupid.

"Sorry if this may sound cocky, but how can you have not heard of us"? Fred asked.


"I have no life", I laughed at myself. Fred shook his head.

"Well do want to hear us"? Fred asked nervously.

"Sure", I replied smiling. He left the room and came back with a CD case, it said 'Louder Now'.

"You can have it, it's kind of weird having it anyway", Fred said before leaving the room.

And so I listened.

"So you got hit in the head with the microphone"?


"Because of Adam"?

"Yeah", Matt replied rolling his eyes. I couldn't stop laughing.

"I-I-I sorry I can't stop-shit", I kept laughing. Then I began to snort a bit.

"Alright alright I'm good. Sorry it's not that you got hit, it's that Adam did it", I laughed. Matt grinned pushing me off the couch.

I had been there for two weeks and learned a few things about the band. Fred was a vegan and is married with a few kids. Matt is the funniest and most sarcastic guy I've met since...well no one really. Eddie was pretty cool and so was Mark, but they mostly watched Adam's weird tactics.

Adam Lazzara.

Well from what I've learned he's got a little history with girls (the Straylight Run mess).

What? I looked it up on google...anyways.

Also the fact he's the biggest flirt. Below that was a dork who liked to sing weird songs he made up on his guitar. I got know these guys pretty well we kept having fun.

One day Matt was goofing around about some interview that had happened a while back.

"And they asked me, how would you describe Taking Back Sunday"?

"And you said"? I asked.

"The fat guy, the short guy, the long haired southerner, the thug, and the old guy".

"Hey I'm not old"! Fred protested when he walked in the kitchen.

"Southerner"? Adam asked rolling his eyes.

"Well you have long hair", Matt said.

"Nice", I laughed.

Later that night I began searching for job, one that would require me to write something. I needed to move out.

I can't mooch off of them forever.

"What are you doing"? I turned to see Adam standing there. He looked he had just woke up, his hair was a mess.
