"Mira Yamanaka!!! Get your ass downstairs right now before your late!!!" your mother yells.
With the sound of her shrieking voice, you immediately spring out of the bed, but only to land on the ground and slip on one of your many shirts spread out all over the floor of your room. Not Good. You fall flat on your ass and end up hitting the back of your head on the night stand. Grabbing the back of your head, you roll around on the floor of your room cussing about how bad your head hurts at this moment.
"Damn it!!! I have the worst luck!!!" you whine as you get up from the floor. "With the luck I have, I'd probably forget something very important even if it was sticky noted to my freakin head."
"Mira!!! What is taking you so long?!" your mother yells. She opens the door to see you just standing in the middle of the room. "Don't you know you're going to be put into teams today?" she goes on to say.
Your eyes go all wide and you start going into your spaz mode. You start running around the room muttering some colorful words under your breath so your mother doesn't hear you and start putting on your clothes as quick as you can. Your mother can only shake her head disapprovingly to your actions, but there's nothing more she can do about it. Once you have your clothes on and have your hair pulled back into a pony tail, you dash out of your room and get ready to slide down the rail of the stairs. Bad move. You don't even get a chance to slide a foot down the rail because you lost your balance. Now you're rolling down the stairs and thinking, 'Could it get any worse?'
"Hey flake, are you alright?" your older brother asks laughing. "If you're not careful you might just break. I wouldn't want my favorite flake to get hurt."
"Shut the hell up and just help me up!!!" you scowl.
He smirks and holds out his hand. You take hold of it and just as he's about to pull you up, he let's go and you fall right back on the ground and hit your already bruised head. Apparently he starts laughing and of course your pissed. Not wanting to take anymore crap, you lash out at your brother and try to strangle him. Too bad you don't get a chance to beat the crap out of him. Your mother immediately breaks up the soon to be fight.
"Mira, you really need to hurry and leave before you're late." your mother reminds you.
"Ahhhhhhhhh!!! I almost forgot!!" you yell dashing out the door. At your top speed, you run all the way to the academy in record time. However, because you're going extremely fast, you fail to realize that people are infront of you. In a flash you end up crashing down on top of someone and of course you start cussing for your bad luck, well, that's what it appears to be before you realize who you bumped into.
"I guess someone's in a hurry." you hear a deep voice say.
'I know that voice from anywhere. It's...' you think looking up. When you see who it is you bumped into, you literally have to refrain yourself from going into a serious spaz mode. You put on your 'I don't care' facade and get up casually.
"For you to be the top female rookie, you're really clumsy. I don't think I've ever seen someone fall down so many times as I've seen you." he says with a smirk.
You blush lightly, but then you frown and shout, "Egrr...there's always something in my way when I fall and this time it happens to be you!!!"
"So I guess the other hundred times you fall is because of your own two feet?" he inquires with that same smirk.
You stick out your tongue and start walking away without saying a word to him. Everything would have seem fine about this except for one tiny situation...you end up triping over something again.
"Damn it!!! Why does stuff like this continue to happen to me?!" you exclaim.
"And I thought you said there's always something in your way when you fall, but right now it looks like it's just you triping over your own two feet again." he says giving a light chuckle while walking away.
You slap yourself mentally for looking like a fool infront of who is undoubtly the hottest guy in the academy, Neji Hyuuga. With you sulking, you manage to stand up and walk into the classroom while thinking, 'There's no way my luck can get any worse...there's just no way...'

You slowly walk into the classroom making sure you don't trip over anything, but when you do you notice that all the girls in the classroom are giving you shady looks and death glares. 'What the hell?' you think as you take your usual seat next to your best friend Ten-ten. When you sit down, you notice that she has this cheesy grin formed across her face and you know that means only one thing...trouble.
"So Mrs. Hyuuga, I suppose you know why you're getting all of these glares from all the other girls?" she says with that same cheesy grin.
"No and don't call me that name." you scowl. "Someone might hear you."
"Like Neji?"
"Yes, I mean no!!! Egrr...I can't think damn it!!! See what you made me do!!!" you yell having an outburst.
When you do, everyone in the room, including Neji, turns back to look at you. The only thing you do is sink lower in your seat and pray that the nightmare of this moment will go away soon. If things weren't worse for you at the moment, when your eyes look ahead they meet with Neji's Hyuuga's eyes. You end blushing, but the embarrassment doesn't end there...nope. Things only seem downhill at this point.
"Mira, are you alright?" Iruka-sensei asks. "Your face is completely red."
"Ummm..." you stutter with your face turning red even more. But before you can utter another hopeless word, Ten-ten gladly speaks up for you. "She's sick Iruka-sensei!!!" she shouts. "Well...lovesick that is."
"Damn it dumpling-head!!! I can't believe you said that!!!" you bellow while trying to strangle her. "But it's the truth!!!" she laughs.
"Ten-ten, Mira, enough of this nonsense right now. I'm about to put yall into teams and I won't be able to do that with you two carrying on like you are." Iruka scolds.
You stop, but you're still pissed at Ten-ten for saying that. As for her, she's rightfully proud for saying that. After this moment ends, Iruka goes on to put people into teams. While he's doing this, you don't hear a word he says. Your mind is elsewhere and you look down to see Neji sitting in a couple of rows below you. 'Now he probably thinks I'm a bigger spaz than I already am.' you think. After a few more minutes, you snap out of your thoughts and see that everyone has left out of the room but you, Ten-ten, Neji, and Rock Lee.
"Where the hell did everyone go?" you say looking around.
"They went with their teams, or weren't you paying attention." Neji says turning around to face you.
"Teams?" you inquire.
"That's right girly!!! It you, me, Rock Lee and Neji are on a team." Ten-ten says poking your arm.
Your jaw drops down to the ground and you start muttering a bunch on nonsense that no one understand. Hell, you don't even understand what you're trying to say. Not wanting to miss the opportunity to say something, Neji says, "Not only does she trip over her own feet, but she also has a speech impediment."
Your blushing face shoot him a glare, but he only smirks more at your reaction. "Are there anymore problems that you have that we need to know about?" he asks.
Before you can say something to him, Ten-ten cuts in and says, "Yeah, she's clearly crazy about y-" You clamp your hand over her mouth and give Neji a fake smile. "Don't listen to her. She's obviously out of her mind today." you say hoping he'll by your lie. He gives you a questionable look, but then his attention turns toward the door with someone speaking.
"I guess you four must be my new students." a voice says.
You and the others turn your head to see a man who looks like a G.I. Joe commando. Not to mention his extremely large eyebrows.
'He looks just like Lee...' you think having your attention turn back to Neji. 'How the hell am I suppose to deal with him being on my team? There's no way for me to avoid looking like a baka infront of him...I'm screwed!!!'

A few days have passed by since you were placed on the team with Ten-ten, Rock Lee, and Neji. You've tried your best not to look like a fool infront of him, but with you being the spaz that you are, you've ended up doing it anyway. Today you're training with the your team again, and like so many other days, you're bad luck is about to start once again.
"Alright team, today I want to see how you spar against one another." Gai-sensei says looking at each of you. "Lee and Ten-ten, I want you to spar first. After that I want Neji and Mira to spar."
Ten-ten ends up rolling on the ground laughing and you just cover your face in your hands and groan. The rest of the guys have no idea what's wrong, so they just stand there and look puzzled. 'Why me!?!' you think lifting your hands from your face. When you do, you see Ten-ten and Lee start to spar, but Neji takes a seat next to you and watches as well. Like so many times before, you refrain yourself from a spaz attack and stay composed.
"Try not to fall during our match." Neji says glancing over to you. "Don't worry. I intend to stay on my feet and beat you." you say with a grin.
A smirk forms across his face as he stands up and starts walking ahead.
"Alright Mira and Neji, you're up next!!!" Gai shouts.
Ten-ten drags Lee out of the way while you stand up and walk over to where Neji is. You get into your battling stance and when Gai gives the signal, you and Neji begin to battle. Through the entire match, you end up doing pretty good. Nothing seems to be going on and it almost looks like you're going to beat him...well that is before you trip and fall right on your face.
"Damn it, damn it, damn it!!!" you shout getting back up. You don't stay up for long as you're pinned down to the ground by Neji. "That's it. Neji is the winner of that little match." Gai says.
"I guess you can't stop falling for me huh?" Neji says with a smirk.
You look up to see his face about five inches from yours. 'Please don't spaz out...please don't spaz out!!!' you plead in your mind while gazing back into his eyes. Time seems to be standing still for you, well, that is until Ten-ten starts her antics again.
"Psst!!! Mira, go for it go!!!" she says in a loud whisper.
Neji looks over to her and then looks back to you and asks, "Do you know what she's talking about?" You shake your head no as he helps you to your feet.
"Alright team, that's all the training for today. Meet here the same time tomorrow. I'm sorry today's training is kinda short, but I have a little score to settle with my Rival Kakashi." Gai says disappearing.
"I guess I'll be helping you walk home again Lee. Bye Neji!!! Bye Mira *cough*Hyuuga*cough*!!!" she shouts with a mischievios smile.
Your face turns red from her comment, but you manage to shout, "I'm gonna kill you for that dumpling-head!!!"
"Kill her for what?" Neji asks looking at you curiously. You turn your had back around and give him a cheesy smile. "No reason."
He's still looking at you curious to what it is you were going to kill her for, but before he asks another question you start walking away. "How the hell am I suppose to deal with all of this!?!? Especially-" "Not only do you trip over your own feet and have a speech impediment, but you also talk to yourself. I wonder what else you could possibly do." Neji says.
You turn around to see him walking beside you. "Is there a reason why you're here?" you ask trying to keep your cool.
"Just making sure my teammate does trip over something on the way home." he replies.
Your eyes go wide for a moment. This causes you not to pay attention to where you're going and you end up tripping. Thankfully Neji catches you before you hit the ground. "It's a good thing I came or else your face would have been apart of the ground." he says with a chuckle while helping you get up right.
"Umm...well you see I..."
"There goes that speech impediment again."
"I don't have a damn speech impediment!!! I'm just talking like this because I like-" you quickly cut yourself off from what you're were about to say next. He looks you skepically and asks, "Like what?"
"Umm...like the sky." you quickly lie while begging to walk forward again. Neji soon catches up with you and he follows you all the way to your house.
"Well, this is it. I guess I'll see you tomorrow." you say arriving at the doorstep.
"Try not to trip anytime before then. I like to see the look on your face when you fall." he says walking away. You watch him walk away and then slide down against the door.
"Why me!!!" you shout.
"I thought I heard my favorite flake. So what are you complaining about now?" your brother asks.
"My pathetic life!!!"

The next day has come and you have yet another day of training. Today seems just like any other day that you have...somehow someway you manage to look like a baka falling infront of Neji again. Other than that little thing, everything would be peachy. [Fire: And yes I did say 'peachy' ^^] After training for a bit, Gai gives you all a break and you readily take it. Falling on the ground and looking up into the sky, you wonder how in the world you're managing to deal with Neji being on your team.
'I must have a guardian angel right about now because if Neji ever found out that I liked him, I'd be the biggest damn baka in Konoha...no. I'd be the biggest baka in the world!!!' you think turning your head to the left. When you do, you see Ten-ten talking to Neji about something. She has that cheesy grin plastered across her face and you know that means trouble. 'She better not be talking about me!!!' you think watching her walk over to you.
"Might I ask what that was about?" you say narrowing your eyes at her.
"Guess what?" she says smiling.
"What?"
"I told Neji that you liked him." she says poking you now.
Your eyes go wide and you glance over to Neji who is leaning against a tree with his eyes closed. Your eyes then shoot back towards Ten-ten and that's when you snap.
"YOU DID WHAT?!?!" you yell shaking Ten-ten rapidly.
"I...said...I-"
"I know what you said, but WHY THE HELL DID YOU SAY IT!!!" you yell continously shaking her.
"Because you'll thank me for it later." she says with a sly smile. Just before you're about to punch her, Gai interupts by saying, "The break is over team and now it's time to spar again. Neji, I want you and Ten-ten to spar. After that I want Mira and Lee to go next." Ten-ten and Neji get up and begin to battle while Lee takes a seat next to you. [Fire: Yeah, I noticed he hasn't said one word in the story so I thought I'd have him in a little scene n_~]
"So Mira, is it true that you like Neji?" he asks.
"W-what?!? You know too!!! Damn you Ten-ten!!!" you exclaim.
"Did he say that he liked you too?" he asks. You shrug your shoulder and reply, "I don't know, but now I'm look like a huge baka."
"Don't worry. If he doesn't then I'll gladly be your boyfriend." Lee says giving you that million dollar smile. You give him a light smile and then look back at Neji. 'This has to be the worst moment in the history of my life!!!'
In a few more minutes, Neji wins the battle and now it's time for you and Lee to spar. Since you have your mind elsewhere you end up losing to Lee. After your embarrassing loss, Gai calls off the rest of training because he has another score to settle with Kakashi, which leaves you, Lee and Neji alone in the field.
"Well Lee, let's get going!!! I wouldn't want to mess up something important!!!" Ten-ten says pulling Lee off while giving you a thumbs-up. You start to sulk, but you decide to save that for when you get home. Not wating to wait for Neji to say something, you immediately get up and start walking home as quickly as you can.
"Maybe if I don't speak to him he won't say anything about it." you mutter to yourself.
"And I see you're talking to yourself yet again." you hear Neji say.
You turn your head to see him walking beside you and his gaze kept forward.
"Uhhh...I...um, well you see-"
"And there goes that speech impediment you have."
"For the last time, I don't have a damn speech impediment!!!" you whale.
He only smirks at your response, but he continues to walk with you to your house. Neither of you speak all the way to your house, well, that is until Neji finally decides to speak up.
"Mira, there's something I want to talk to you ab-"
"Listen!!! I don't know what Ten-ten said to you, but don't believe a word of it!!! She has a big mouth and-"
"So I guess it's useless to ask if you want to go out with me tomorrow?" he says.
Your jaw drops to the ground and you say very slowly, "Go...out...with...you...on...a...date?"
"Speaking slowly now are we?" he says smirking. "But since what Ten-ten said wasn't true, then I guess it doesn't matter." he says walking away.
"Wait!!! No, I mean yes I want to...uh..." you stutter.
He turns back around with a smug look on his face and says, "So I guess that's a yes then?"
You continue to stutter and he goes on to say, "Then I'll pick you up at seven," and then he leaves.
Having this moment feel so surreal, you slide down the door and let out a squeal. 'I must be dreaming...but I'm still gonna kill Ten-ten for this!!!'
"I thought I heard my favorite flakey sister. So what seems to be the problem today?" your brother asks opening the door.
You fall backwards and look up at your brother to say, "To tell ya the truth...I'm not really sure anymore..."

Today is the day you go out on your date with Neji and of course you are in a spaztic mode right now. If couldn't be anymore stressful, your brother teasing you doesn't help you one bit.
"Aww, my flakey sister is going out on her first date. Try not to fall over and break your flakey-self." he says laughing.
"Shut-up bone-head or else I'm gonna-"
"Mira!!!! Your date is here!!!" your mother yells.
You quickly dash out of your room and head for the stair rail. It's a shame you couldn't learn from the first time you did this. You end up losing your balance on the rail and you tumble all the way down the stairs while cussing and muttering all other kinds of colorful words.
"And I see you can't quit falling for me huh?" you hear Neji's voice say. You look up and you see Neji wearing his usual outfit. You start to blush and you manage to somehow stand up and not spaz out.
"Umm..."
"Hello to you too Mira. I guess we should get going now." he says taking your hand and leading you out the door.
"Bye Mira!!! Have fun!!!" your mother shouts. "Yeah flakey!!! Try not to trip again!!!" your brother adds. You hang your head low until Neji says something to you.
"You look nice Mira." he says looking you up and down. You blush and end muttering a whole bunch of nonsense.
"And there goes that impediment again."
"I DON'T HAVE A DAMN SPEECH IMPEDIMENT!!! HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL-" you start to say, but you end up triping and thankfully Neji catches you before you fall. He helps you up, but then you feel one of his arms slips around your waist and you blush an even deeper red than before while looking at him.
"I guess I'll keep my arm here to prevent you from falling." he says while pulling you closer. You nod and you keep walking to wherever he leads you.
After about ten minutes of walking, you arrive by a lake with a blanket and picnic basket set up. You and he sit down and begin to eat without saying a word. You don't really mind the silence part. Just being here with him is more than enough for you. 'Looks like I'm having a lucky day today. He's not saying anything about what Ten-ten told him yesterday. Maybe he forgot ^^'
"Mira, there's something you need to talk to you about." he says cooly. "It's about what Ten-ten said yesterday."
You drop your sandwhich and have a blank expression plastered across your face.
"Is what she said true?" he asks. "That you like me?"
Not wanting the situation to get out of hand, you immediately stand up and start your hopeless rambling.
"Listen Neji, I don't know what she told you, but here's how it all started!!!" you shout walking backwards. "1 + 1= 19 and then A= B + G which is the square root of a thousand and-"
"Mira..."
"Huh?"
"Do you like me or not?" he asks standing up and walking over to you.
You know you can't stall anymore so you just nod your head 'yes' and wait for the big disappointment. 'And here comes the "I don't feel the same" line...just my luck.' you think looking down at the ground. You expect the worst to come, but it doesn't. Instead you feel your chin being lifted and your eyes meet with Neji's gazing stare.
"It's alright if you don't feel the same. I know I probably look like a baka right now and-"
"I like you too." he says.
Time stands still for that moment and it takes time to register what he just said. 'I must be dreaming!!! There's no way- but just to make sure...'
"Come again?" you ask.
"I said I like you." he says with a smirk and leaning in. You follow his actions and start to lean in too. However, since you're not really used to this you end up taking a step back instead of forward. Not good. When you do, you trip over a rock and fall backwards. Neji grabs your hand to try to help you, but he ends up falling into the lake with you as well.
"Damn it!!! I have the worst luck!!!" you bellow comming up from the water and gasping for air.
In a few seconds, Neji comes up too and you immediately start to appologize.
"Listen!!! I'm soooooooo sorry that happened!!! I'll understand it you never want to-"
Neji cuts off your sentence by pressing his lips softly against your in a kiss. You blink a few times as you try to figure out if this is reality or a really great dream. 'Wow!!! He's really kissing me!!! This isn't a dreaming and it's actually happening and- what the hell is Ten-ten doing here?' you think glancing over towards the trees to see her jumping up and down like crazy.
"Go for it!!! Kiss him back, kiss him back!!!" she shouts.
'I swear I'm gonna get her for this, but I'll worry about that later. I guess she's right though...might as well go for it seeing as how I have nothing to lose.' you think as you begin to kiss Neji back.
After a few minutes of kissing, you both pull away for air and look into each others eyes.
'I can't believe that just happened!!! Yes!!!' you think as he helps you out of the lake.
Neji packs up the stuff and starts to walk you home. No one says a word, but once again you don't care. All you're thinking about is the sweet kiss that you two shared. Obviously he knows you're thinking about it because you keep your fingers to your lips and it looks like you're in a daze. Hell, you don't even realize that you've reached your house until he does a fake cough.
"Huh?" you say looking around.
"We're at your house." he says with a smirk.
"Oh, umm...I didn't notice." you say looking into his eyes.
"We're you thinking about something else." he asks. "Like the kiss."
You blush widely and start stuttering again.
"And there goes that-"
"I don't have a damn impedi-"
He quickly and yet softly claims your lips in kind kiss. Being cut off guard, you end up falling back against the door with him still kissing you. Not being in shock anymore, you wrap your arms around his neck and start kissing him back as well. The moment only ends because you both have to breathe for air, but he smiles anyway while you're still in a daze.
"I guess I'll see you tomorrow then Mira...or should I say Mrs. Hyuuga." he says kissing your lips again real quick and then walking away.
You watch him walk away and try to register all that happened today as you slide down the door.
'Wow...Neji and I...we...KISSED!!!' you think.
"Is that my favorite flake from her date?" you brother says opening the door. "How did it go? I hope you didn't fall."
"Actually I did." you say closing your eyes. 'And it ended up being the best moment of my life.'
