an Inuyasha tale #18 (new moon)

Hi peoples! We left off where You just realized that Amaya took your shards. Enjoy! Oh, one character might act a little OOC(out-of-character) in this chapter.

{This doesnt start out with you} Amaya, Tara, Lance, and Ashura were going to search the villages and woods for shikron shards. Each of them rode their pets. The third day after searching, they were getting board. "We havent found a single shard yet" Amaya said, as she lay on Sonia while she was walking. "And we havent ran into Inuyasha either" Tara added. "This is sooo boring" Ashura said. "we need to go on a village raid or somthing before I die of boredom" Lance said. Suddenly, everyone sat up. "did you hear that?" Amaya said. Everyone else nodded in reply. They quietly hid up in the trees of the forest that surrounded them. They could hear the almost-silent crunches of someone walking. They looked around from the branches above, trying to see anyone on the ground. Then Tara jumped down from the trees. "What are you doing? Do you want to get us all killed?" Amaya hissed. Tara glared at her, silencing her. She hid behind the trunk of a tree, looking out into the direction of the noise. A dark figure emerged from the forest. He walked slowly, as if he already knew where all of them were. His golden eyes sparkeled in the dappled sunlight that shone from in between the trees. He walked with grace and beauty. Tara jumped out from where she was hiding and ran towards him. "Sesshomaru?!" she shouted. She ran up and hugged him. *What am I doing?* she thought as she realized what she was doing. Then she felt the warmth of his arm closing in on her back. She looked into his eyes. "Huh?" she said softly. "I...I missed you" He said. Amaya, Lance, and Ashura jumped down from the trees. "I thought I was never going to see you again" He said. "me neither" Tara replied, not knowing what to say. Ashura stared at Sesshomaru with her mouth open. She knew for a fact that Sesshomaru, her brother, never missed anyone. Tara let go of him, and his gaze fell to the 3 of them standing in front of them (sesshomaru and Tara). "Ashura" Sesshomaru said as he greeted his sister. "Sesshomaru" she replied. He stared at the other two, not knowing who they were. "Lance","Amaya", they both said. Tara, trying to get over the fact that Seshomaru just showed emotion to her, walked over to Lance. "Lance is my twin brother", she explained, "and Amaya and Ashura are enimies of Inuyasha". Their pets flew down from the trees, walking up to Sesshomaru with caution. Tara explained to Sesshomaru which pets were whose, and what each person's wepon and powers were. "Are we gonna to get going? I have a huge need to raid a village." Amaya asked as she got on Sonia. "Sure" Ashura said as she got on Kianara. Lance and Tara each got on their dragons, and Sesshomaru joined Tara. They flew up into the sky and soared off.
You and the gang decided to track down your shards, but they left no traces. Later that night, before the sun had set, everyone sat by the fire. Miroku, already having a slap mark on his face, was preparing dinner. Sango was glaring at Miroku. Shippo and Kirara were lieing next to each other. Inuyasha was looking more nervous every second. "What's wrong Inuyasha?" you ask. "Nothing", he folded his arms. "It has to be somthing" you say. Then you remember, tonight's the night of the new moon, the night Inuyasha turns human. "Inuyasha..." You whisper. "what!" he says. "It's just...I turn human tonight too" you say. "You do?" Inuyasha asked. "Yeah". You stared into the fire. Then you herd somthing and your cat ears twitched. "What was that!" you hissed. Suddenly a huge gust of wind blasted towards them. Sango, Miroku, Kirara, and Shippo went one way, and You and Inuyasha went the other. The gust hit the fire, spreading sparks and coals all over the place. You and Inuyasha run over into a forest. The others run into a different direction of the forest. Kagura stood from where the wind came from. "Kagura, follow Miroku and the others, I'll take on Inuyasha and the girl" a voice said. Kagura followed Sango and the rest. The figure stepped out into the fading sunlight. "Perfect. Soon both of their powers will be diminished" She smirked. She ran off to follow Inuyasha and you. You and Inuyasha run over to a waterfall. "Let's hide here" Inuyasha said as he jumped through the water. On the other side of the waterfall, Inuyasha pushed a boulder out of the way. "we can hide here until the sun rises" He said. He pushed the boulder back into place, turning the cave pitch black. You tried to sleep, but you couldnt. You knew that someone, somthing was after you. After awhile you dozed off. Suddenly you heard a crash outside. "Wha-" you say but your mouth is covered by someone's hand. "dont say a word" Inuyasha whispered. You heard the almost-silent steps of someone outside agenst the waterfall. Inuyasha and you pushed back farther into the cave. The water from the falls stopped, as though the water was blocked. Then, the boulder broke through, shattering into a million pieces. "No" Inuyasha said as he looked at his clawless-hands, now visable in the moonlight. He and You had turned Human. You had lost your ears and tails, and your eyes had turned light blue. You looked out of the cave to your attacker. You were shocked to see her standing there.
"K-Kagome?!" Inuyasha shouted. She stood there with an arrow pointed at you. "Now I will get my revenge, Inuyasha" She said. Inuyasha pushed up towards the wall on the side of the cave. You followed him hoping he had some sort of plan. Kagome shot an arrow towards you and Inuyasha. Inuyasha doged out of the way, grabbing you and pulling you with him. The arrow hit the wall and destroyed it, making a huge hole in it. "Come on!" he shouted. You followed Inuyasha through the hole and outside. The sky was full of stars, which was the only light because of the new moon. You and Inuyasha rushed into the trees, running as fast as you could with your human-bodies. You were tiring of running and were about to fall over. "Inuyasha..." you huffed as you tried to keep going. He slowed down so that you were ahead of him. "*huff* thanks.." you said to him. Suddenly, your foot slipped out from under you and you started sliding down a hill. "Ah! Inuyasha!" You shouted as you tried to get a grip on the rocks and roots zooming past you. Inuyasha jumped in front of you and caught you. "Sorry, I'm not used to acting in this human body...You've had so much experience." you say as he sets you down on the ground behind a tree. "You've been human as much times as I have. Why do you say I have experience?" he asked. "Well, most of the times I have been human, I would be asleep because I had no enimies" you reply. You and Inuyasha stood up. "did you hear somthing?" you whisper. He nodded in reply. He raced off to the side towards the rocky cliffs where the waterfall was. You followed him. When they reached the cliffs, Inuyasha started climbing them. You followed slowly, knowing that the fall would kill you if you fell this time. When you got to the top, they ran down the many crevaces on the other side of the cliffs. You could barely see Inuyasha as you silently crept in the crack of the cliff. "Inuyasha? Who was that person with the fans?" you ask, wondering what Sango and Miroku were up agenst. "Kagura, she is part of Naraku" Inuyasha said, "That means Kagome is probably...". You put your hand on his shoulder. "awww, how cute!" someone said sarcastically. Kagome stood at the top of the crevace. She aimed an arrow at you and shot it. "MOVE!" you shouted as you shoved Inuyasha. They both started running. The crevace started sloping up onto the cliff again. Soon they were at the same level as Kagome. Then the cliffs themselves started sloping down onto the ground. They soon ran into a stone wall. "DAMMIT!" Inuyasha yelled. "You're not even worth my arrows" kagome said as she put her arrows that had shards in them. She aimed a normal arrow at You. "First, Girl, You die!" she shouted as she shot it. "No!" Inuyasha shouted as he ran in front of you. "Inuyasha SIT!" You shouted. He fell to the ground. The arrow hit your arm with extreme pain. The metal of the arrow tip gouged through the other side of your arm. You screamed in pain. You are not used to the pain normal humans go through. Blood seeped through your demon exterminator outfit. You fell to your knees. "Ow...ah...inuyasha..." you said. Kagome shot another arrow at you. *this is it..I'm done for...*
You braced yourself for the godless pain that followed. You closed your eyes. Suddenly, you heard the arrow smack into flesh and the coughing of blood. You didnt feel or do any of that though. You opened your eyes. You looked up to see Inuyasha standing in front of you. He turned his head to you, blood coming out of his mouth, he smirked as he said "you're right, I am more experienced than you". He fell to the ground. You looked and saw to your horror that the arrow was pierced right in the upper left corner of his chest, right by his heart. "no....NO....NO!!!!!" you shouted. You flung yourself onto his back. "No...dont leave..." You said through sobs. "Dont think I didnt forget about you!" kagome snapped as she aimed an arrow at you. *If Inuyasha died for me, I will die by his side* you thought as you stood up. Suddenly Kagome's eyes widened in pain, and she fell over. A familiar wepon spun behind Kagome, turned, and flew away from her. It was caught by none other than Sango. "Sango! Inuyasha! he's...." You said through broken sobs. Miroku, Sango, and Shippo ran over to you. Miroku helped you up and helped you over to Kirara so you could sit down. Sango pulled up Inuyasha's limp body and, as carefully as she could, set it on Kirara. Miroku, Sango, and Shippo joined you on Kirara. They flew off into the night sky.
They landed in Sango's village and into one of the huts. They put you on one bed and Inuyasha on the other. The part of the roof was blown out so that the stars shone through it. "Sango...How is Inuyasha?" You asked. "For about the 15th time I dont know. he's still unconcious. You took a pretty bad hit yourself." Sango said through the cloth that divided Your and Inuyasha's beds. A touriquet was wrapped around the wound on his bare chest. The arrow was taken out, and was layed on the edge of a table. Your arm was in a sling, and your arrow was taken out as well. Miroku pushed away the cloth as he entered your section. "Good news: the arrow didnt hit his heart or any arteries(sp?)" Miroku said. You let out a sigh of relief. He sat at your bedside. "You really like him dont you" He said as he smirked, trying to keep his voice down. You blushed, "maybe". You heard moans from the other side. "Inuyasha?!" you said. Miroku pushed the curtain and tied it to the side of a wall. Inuyasha's eyes had opened. You rush out of your bed and run to his bedside. He looked at you. "You're...you're allright" He whispered. "are you ok inuyasha?" You asked. "I'll be fine" he replied. Suddenly the room was filled with light, a bright golden orange in every corner. You shielded your eyes. You looked down at Inuyasha his hair was white and his eyes were golden.
