"Hey, whoah whoah whoah! I don't think we should be using a Ouija board! I can learn to live with the voices! Maybe I'm just going insane! I'm not contacting the dead. That's just freaky!" yelled Matt.
"If you don't wanna do it, then that's fine. You can sit out. You can make up your mind while I get the board!" nodded Darran.
"My mind is made up. I'm not doing it..." Matt sighed.
Darran shrugged, and left.
"Matt, why won't you do it? I'm not a nasty person! And I wouldn't want to hurt you or anyone else! And I don't mind being 'contacted'! I wouldn't mind seeing this from a ghost's point of view!" I said.
"SHUT UP! I CAN'T HEAR YOU!!! AND I'M NOT DOING IT!!!" screamed Matt.
"Calm down, you twit! Nobody's talking!" laughed Gareth.
"Matt - I won't join in with the Ouija board if you don't do it. I won't communicate with anyone else." I stated.
"Okay! I'll do it! But not for you! For the guys!" yelled Matt.
Darran soon returned, carrying a plastic bag with the board inside. He set it up in the band practice room, and then everyone sat round it, including Matt.
"I decided to do it..." he sighed.
"Good! Glad to see you're not a wimp!" grinned Darran.
Matt rolled his eyes, and then everyone placed their hands on the cup thingy [I don't know what it's called =P]. Darran looked clearly ahead, and cleared his throat.
"If there is a spirit in this room, please make it known." Darran said clearly.
I didn't mean to, but I let out a very loud sneeze. Matt jumped slightly, and the hairs on the back of his neck stood on end. Bless.
"What is your name?" asked Darran.
My hands were suddenly pulled to the cup thingy, and it was as if they were glued in place. It was really freaky - I could actually feel the smooth surface of it. I slowly and shakily spelt out "HELENA" [for the purpose of the story I will put spaces between the words]. I then paused a moment and continued. "I AM SORRY I SCARED YOU BEFORE MATT".
"Why are you here?" he asked.
"I SUPPOSE IT WAS BECAUSE I DIED HERE"
"No way!" yelled Ryan, "How'd it happen?!"
Wait. How did it happen? I couldn't remember...
"I DO NOT KNOW I CANT REMEMBER SORRY"
"Okay. That's fine. Was it a while ago?"
"NO I AM ABOUT YOUR AGE CAN I ASK YOU TWO QUESTIONS"
"Sure! Go ahead!" nodded Darran, laughing slightly.
"ARE YOU GOING TO LEAVE NOW MATT AND WHATS YOUR BAND CALLED CAUSE YOU ROCK"
"I can't leave..." murmured Matt, "I can't afford to keep moving..."
"We're Funeral For A Friend!" grinned Kris, "Me and Darran play guitar, Matt sings, Gareth plays bass, and Ryan drums!"
"DO YOU WANT TO ASK ME ANY MORE QUESTIONS"
"Are you staying here?" mumbled Matt.
"YES"
"Okay. Well I think that's it. Thanks for speaking to us. Goodbye." Darran said.
"GOODBYE"
My hands were freed, and I was pretty much flung across the room.
"Well I'm going now. I have to get ready for tonight because I'm taking Lizzy out!" grinned Ryan, walking out.
"Is she his girlfriend?" I asked.
Matt nodded. Everyone else left too, and Matt sat down on the drum stool, staring into space.
"Helena? Are you still here?" he asked.
"Yeah." I nodded.
"I'm sorry. I owe you an apology," he sighed, "I'm sorry I yelled at you before. If you're staying here as well as me then we should probably get along!"
"Apology accepted! You're a cool guy! But from now on, I'll only speak when you speak to me! I really don't want to scare you!" I grinned.
"Okay!" laughed Matt, "I can cope with that!"
