Kyo stood there looking at Sacrlet his heart was torn in two different directions. Should he help her even after she betray him? Or should he stand and watch her in pain? But then he thought about it. She hadn't really betray him, she refused to trya dn take the necklace away from him. Then a thought struck him. What if she didn't love him like she said? What if all she did was only to get the hanabi-no-tama? (Jewel of the Fire Flower). Kyo shook his head and then looked back at SCarlet. She looked at him pleading him to help her. Her amethyst eyes were covered in tears and the edges of her eyes had turned bright crimson because of the water. InuYasha, Kagome, Shadow,and Hiei were fighting Kagura. Then Kyo made his decision. He grabbed his sword and charged at Naraku. Blade stood to the edge of the battle field the entire time watching everyone fight and wanting to himself but never leaving the side of his beloved. Naraku dropped whatever he was squeezing at Kyo's sudden movements to kill him. Kyo's gold hilt and silver blade shone in the sun as he brought it down in a swift killing motion but Naraku moved to the side and Kyo's sword brought itself down deep into Naraku's shoulder missing his head by inches. Blood erupted from the wound and flew in all directions. Naraku gaping at Kyo's power stumbled back in amazement grasping his shoulder that had so painfully been torn apart. He called on Kagura and Kanna to leave and all three of them left. Scarlet began to turn to leave with him, when Kyo called out her name. She turned around slowly silent tears still falling from her eyes as she gazed at him through lavendar."Why are you leaving?" Kyo asked sadness in his breath. "I must or else...you saw what he did to me, Kyo." Scarlet said to him the same sadness in her words. Then Kyo remembered what Naraku had dropped. He slowly walked over to where Naraku had once stood and gazed down at the emerald grass where the object had fallen. He bent at the knees and picked it up to his amazement and surprise it was a jewel shaped in the form of a heart. It was a soft plum color and seemed to glow in Scarlet's direction she looked at it in wonderment. "I-I'm free!" She exclaimed. Kyo looked at her curiously. "What?" He asked her. But she was running at him a big smile spread across her face. She flung her arms around his neck and kissed him passionatly. "Oh I love you, Kyo. I love you so much!" She screamed in joy while still hugging and kissing him. Kyo smiled because of her words but still wondered what they ment. "She was one of Naraku's creations" InuYasha said as Kagome, he, and Blade walked over to Kyo and Sacrlet. "She was forced to do his every will and deed, and she couldn't do anything by herself." Kagome added. Scarlet finally calmed down and spoke for herself. "It was horrible, he had called me to come and steal the necklace from you and that's why that demon was attacking me to get you to save me and then I could take the necklace when you weren't looking. But soon I forgot about my mission and realized I loved you and so I couldn't do it. He called me and so I had to leave you and when I met Naraku he punished me for not getting the necklace." Scarlet said sadly. Kagome looked at her in sympathy. "I'm so sorry," She said to Scarlet. Scarlet shook her head. "Don't be" She said and then she looked up into Kyo's ruby eyes. "I'm free now because you have my heart" She told him. Kyo looked down at the plum colored jewel in his hand. Then he slowly lifted it closer to her and it glowed brighter. He moved the stone right next to where a normal heart would be and it glowed a bnright purple. Scarlet looked at Kyo's eyes as he looked at the stone on her chest. She took ahold of his hand and pushed the stone deeper into her skin and slowly began to sink intro her little by little. An auroral turquoise illuminated the ground and air around the two. Kagome, InuYasha,and Blade stepped back. Scarlet closed her eyes wanting to feel the feeling of finally owning her own heart. Soon the light began to fade and all that was left was Kyo's hand on Scarlet's skin where he heart was now beating happily in her body. She smiled and pulled his hand away and again kissed him passionatly as a thanks and as an "I love you". And yet again they started their journey to find Sesshoumaru. Finally they made it to his castle. Knocking on the door. Hiei silently wondered to himself if Sesshoumaru still liked Shadow and whether her being here was a good idea. But those thoughts soon faded as a woman answered the door.
