Erin McGonagall woke up suddenly, her owl was tapping rather roughly on her forehead. "What is it Nyx?" she asked feeling rather annoyed with being woken up so early on a Saturday, she untied the not strung around the owl's leg, it read: 'Dearest Erin, You have captured a heart that mst said was never capable of love. You haunt my very dreams and my heart longs for you, you're shining green eyes, you're entrancing smile, and your beautiful soul. You have affected me in a way no one has ever done in all my years, you took a lonely orphan and made him feel whole and for the first time I felt like I truly belonged somewhere. I belong in your arms Erin McGonagall, I belong next to you through the good and the bad, the ups and the downs, forever. I can no longer deny my love for you, your sweet kiss last night has left me restless and my stomach is still in knots. If you love me Erin, please meet me by the lake after breakfast, I will be waiting for you, praying you do not break my heart. With Love, Tom' You gasped as you read the note and your heart pounded like a drum. You never imagined Tom Riddle capable of such a romantic, beautiful letter, you must have had quite an effect on him. You two had been sort of courting each other for years now, but never getting too close in fear of what the other might say. You were different, you and Tom, he was a cold, introverted Slytherin who most were weary of and you were an outgoing Gryffindor adored by most of your classmates save the Slytherins of course. Your parents were two of the most generous and prodigious pure-blood wizards in the world and the McGonagall name was very highly thought of. Tom on the other hand was an orphan, his mother died after the heartbreak when Tom's muggle father left her after discovering she was truly a witch. You knew the pain Tom felt and how he never forgave his father for his abandonment, you decided this is why he was so cold to most people. When he was around you on the other hand he was so warm and loving, he had such compassion that it amazed you, you and you alone brought out a side in Tom Riddle that no one else had yet to see. And you did love him, you knew you did from the moment his lips touched yours last night. You long to feel his arms wrapped around your waist once more, to feel his body close to yours, and to listen to the sound of his heartbeat. You stood up and brushed your wavy, golden blonde hair, you left it down that day.. Tom always said you looked stunning with it down. You applied some eye make-up to bring out your brilliant green eyes, not that they needed it. They were your best feature in yours and most other people's opinion. You smiled back at the rosy cheeked, freckled girl that sat in front of the mirror, you looked back at a girl who was in love and was loved back. You smiled at this thought for to feel love and to be loved in return is to feel the sun from both sides. . .
Wow, what a beautiful letter.... I guess Voldemort wasn't always a terrible person (me: everyone has good in them somewhere, sometimes it's just lost for one reason or another)

Your heard the ruffling of bed sheets behind you and you turned to see your two female Gryffindor yearmates, Samantha Sprout and Michelle Fudge. "Morning Erin" they both greeted groggily, "Morning Sam, Michelle" you replied politely still brushing your hair. You stood up and walked over to the bathroom where you changed into a light green peasant skirt that went a little past your knees, an off-the-shoulder white t-shirt, and flip flops. "Why so dressed up? Meeting someone special?" Sam questioned excitedly "oh just felt like dressing up a little" you lied with a weak yet convincing smile. Sam looked disapointed at your reply, but let the subject go, "I bet she's meeting Tom" Michelle said coldly revealing herself from underneath her bed covers, you gave her and akward glance but diverted your eyes quickly. Your eyes always gave away you feelings, you remember when Tom told you they were like open doors to your soul, always wearing your fear, hope, sadness, joy and love for everyone else to see. "Don't try hiding your eyes from me Erin McGonagall, I'm not that dense" Michelle said coolly "oh hush Michelle, Erin doesn't like Tom! She knows better than that, he's so.. I don't even know, but he's just not Erin's type" Sam broke in "oh and you know my type?!" you snapped at her feeling rather offended by her words. She looked hurt at your sudden outburst, Sam had always been a timid, shy girl who never hurt anyone if she could help it. You felt bad for snapping at her, but you were quite upset with her and Michelle's word. You angrily swept down the stairs, your beautiful golden blonde hair sweeping behind you. "Hey Erin wait up!" a voice called from behind you, you stopped in mid-step. "What's with the hurry?" Cornelius Fudge, a good looking Gryffindor boy with dark brown hair and hazel eyes, he was Michelle's twin brother. "Oh just hungry I guess" you lied "me too! I'll walk you to the Great Hall" Cornelius said a little too enthusiastically, you knew he had a crush on you "okay Cornelius" you answered akwardly. He walked you down to the Great Hall with his arm around your waist, you desperately wanted to slap his arm away but knew better than to draw attention or even arouse suspicions about you and Tom's relationship. As you walked into the Great Hall your eyes immediately traveled to the Slytherin table, your eyes met Tom's chocolate brown eyes that made you melt every time you looked into them. His handsome yet pale face looked unhappy at the sight of you and Cornelius and he ran his fingers through his jet black hair in what looked like frustration. You shot him a secret, but assuring smile that you had read the letter and your heart was in fact his. He smiled back at you and nodded in understanding, but quickly wiped away his expressions under the glares of the other Slytherins. You sighed and wondered to yourself if you and Tom's love could ever be accepted, if maybe the division between the your two houses could ever be united as Cornelius steered you over to the Gryffindor table. You sat down next to Cornelius, across from your older sister Minerva, a pretty 7th year (one year older than you) with black hair and dark blue eyes and her best friend Emily Potter (Harry's grandmother). You greeted them both politely, but not with your usual enthusiasm as your mind kept wondering to thoughts of Tom. You found yourself absentmindedly twirling your uneaten eggs around your fork, "are you okay Erin?" Minerva asked noticing you hadn't touched your food "oh- oh umm.. yeah just fine" you said snapping back into reality. You managed to eat some of your eggs before standing up and excusing yourself from the table, your eyes met as Tom's as you made your way to the door signalling you were going to the lake. You didn't need to wait long as within fifteen minutes you saw Tom approaching you, he was a tall slender boy with a muscular build. His pale skin and dark features gave him a sort of dark look, he was rather intimidating at first glance. But over the years you had gotten to know Tom as the person he really was, behind the hard exterior. "Hello Tom" you said shyly as he stopped in front of you "Hello Erin" he replied a small smiling breaking out on his face, you loved when he smiled. "I'm glad you decided to meet me" he said "of course Tom, you're letter was beautiful" you replied "I meant every word" he whispered wrapping his arms around your waist, just as he had done the night before. "I- I love you too Tom" you whispered back running your fingers through his hair and then down to rest on his cheek "and I you Erin" he replied "you're the only one who really knows me, the only one I'd trust with my life" he continued "I want you to know me too Tom.." "I do know you Erin, every time I look in to your eyes it is like a trip into your soul. There is such compassion, such love and caring there, such understanding. You're the only one who understands me, Erin I need you.." he whispered "I need you too" you answered honestly. You felt emotionally helpless as you stood in Tom's arms, you had never felt so strongly for another human being in your life. He was always on your mind, the Slytherin you had tamed, the boy you had to fight for was now yours and you felt like you could never let him go, he was like your oxygen. You breathed him, you lived for him, you needed him. You felt him pull you tighter to his body, he looked longingly into your eyes as he rested his hand on your rosy cheek. He leaned in and his lips met yours in a passionate, hungry kiss.. it was different from last night's kiss, because this time you were both sure of each other's love, both confident that the other wanted it just as much. You moaned as his tongue explored your mouth, you loved the taste of his kiss and the feeling of trembling hands holding tightly on your waist. As you kissed him you forgot about the worries of what your friends, your parents, or anyone else for that matter would think of your love. You didn't care as you felt his sweet lips against yours, all you cared about was being with him, kissing him, and holding him, the rest of the world didn't matter anymore because it was just you and him. . .
They're So in love, so sad it must come to tragic end.. (me: well it is better to have loved and lost) Then to have never loved at all.. (me: that's right!)
