YOUR FIRST YEAR AT HOGWARTS: A STORY OF FRIENDS, FOES, LOVE AND INEVITABLE DECEPTION (FOR GIRLS) [PART 6]

**PLEASE READ THIS** I AM SO SORRY THIS TOOK SO LONG! I have been unbelievably busy. I've had Confirmation practice, the Confirmation itself, along with tons and tons of homework due to my choice of college level classes. I hope you can understand. Ahh! I can't believe it took me this long to get to it. I really hope everyone isn't mad at me ... although I did get a lot of threatening messages... I'll update as often as I can. I did think of quite a few good ideas for the story during that period of time t

"What did he say to you?" asks Fred.

"Nothing really," you say.

George furrows his brows and says, "It must have been something rather important by the way you just watched him leave the Great Hall."

You blush, knowing that telling them that your boyfriend is their worst enemy isnt going to be simple. You decide not to tell them right now and reply, "It's nothing to worry about," while getting up and leaving them confused at the table. You make your way outside and down to the lake where Draco is standing. When he sees you, he asks, "How do you do it?"

Smiling, you ask, "How do I do what?"

"Well, every time I look at you, you seem to have become more beautiful."

You blush heavily and thank him. You give him a hug and you both sit down on the grass, observing the astonishing serenity of the lake.

Fairly far away from you, you faintly recognize Harry leaning against a tree, looking distracted and strangely downbeat. When he turns his head over to where you are sitting, you wave to him and he waves back. He seems inspirited, until he realizes that Draco is sitting next to you: Even the distance between you and Harry couldn't deter your recognition of the hate for Draco in his eyes. He picks up a couple of stones and tosses them in the water one by one.

Draco follows your gaze and becomes jealous, so he turns your head and leans in for a kiss. You return it and sense Harry's gaze lingering on you. When it ends, you don't look up again to avoid any more jealousy from Draco. After a long while of talking, the weather begins getting hotter every minute, increasing the inviting appearance of the lake. You get a sudden adrenaline rush and without warning, you jump up and begin running closer to the water.

Draco runs after you and asks, "What are you doing?"

"Lets go swimming!" you say while taking off everything except your tank top and shorts. You throw them on the ground and dive into the lake, as Draco begins taking off his shoes and socks. When you pop your head above the surface of the water, you see Draco dive in after you. When he comes above the water you tease, "Bet you cant catch me!" You take in a huge breath of air and go under water and swim as fast as you can deeper and farther towards the center of the lake. However, it isn't fast enough because you eventually feel him grab your feet.

Still deep underneath the water, you turn around and place your hands in his. The both of you smile happily until Draco's expression becomes monopolized by terror. Before you get a chance to react, you feel yourself being pulled away from him. He attempts to grab your hands, but you are being pulled away too rapidly. He continues trying to swim towards you as you struggle forcibly to free yourself. After realizing that it's no use, you stop, running out of breath. You look helplessly at the swimming Draco swiftly becoming farther away as your languid body is pulled expeditiously towards the dark realms of the lake.
What the...!? That's weird! The scollbar won't go down anymore!

After an interesting day that included asking Ron out for Hermione, meeting the grim, unfair Professor Umbridge, and the arguements between the rude Slytherin Girl that ran into you, you and Draco finally met each other in the Third Corridor like he had asked you to in the note. He was just about to ask you a question when you heard a voice yelling angrily from behind you.
Oh! I remember now. Thanks.
Yeah, yeah, whatever. Who cares about the backtracking? I can remember it fine. Just get on with the quiz!!!
You change into your pajamas quickly and hop into bed. You hug your pillow, reflecting the kiss with Draco and slowly ease into a deep, dreamful sleep.

Looking around, you perceive resplendent flowers of all kinds scattered across an ample meadow full of brimming trees. A slight gust of wind gently blows fallen leaves around on the dewy green grass as the sun rises over the horizon. Giddy giggling echoes through the air as a familiar-looking girl frolics and skips around, observing her surroundings.

You walk a little closer and observe the girl's familiarity: She's around fifteen-years-old with slightly tanned skin, dressed in a light pink sundress. Short brown hair hugs the side of her immaculate face and her virtuous blue eyes show nothing but resolute blissfulness. **Where have I seen her before?**

She begins running while a boy with long, slicked back, whitish-blonde hair and blue-gray eyes comes into view, running after her. **Draco? He looks different...** He tackles her and they fall to the ground, both laughing. They kiss one another and lay down, observing the eccentric shapes of the clouds. As she lifts her arm and wraps it around the boy, an illumination of light brings your attention to an extensive diamond ring on her finger.

She leans in to kiss him until suddenly, the teenage boy disappears and the skies become vague and dark. The girl looks above apprehensively, while trills of grieving whimpers escape her lips.

A deafening rumble of thunder shakes the ground. After a single flash of lightning, you find yourself in another obscure place. Unlike the other, the atmosphere is uncouth and dark. Ahead of you lies a vacant road, completely demolished.

Your curiosity is triggered as you see the same girl, slightly older now, clutching the side of the street, still whimpering. Her sordid black clothes are torn and tattered and her blue eyes are eminently darker, revealing uncondensed vindictiveness and detestation. Smudged eyeliner runs down her cheeks, while her colorless complexion emphasizes the bounteous scrapes across her dismal face. You stand observing her even more intently as her frown twists into a crooked insane smile.

"Muggles must die ..." she whispers in a wretched voice. After muttering many inaudible words, she abruptly yells, "VOLDEMORT!" Immediately, the girl grips her arm and winces in pain. She pulls up her sleeve, unveiling a blazing red burn of a serpent protruding out of a skull's mouth. She lets out an earsplitting scream as everything turns pitch-black.

>>END DREAM< <

Creepy! Who were the boy and girl?
"Yes, I'll go out with you," you reply and flash him a huge smile.

He smiles a satisfied smile and you embrace each other for a minute until he says, "We should leave, so we don't get caught. Knowing Pansy, she'll probably send someone to get us in trouble if I don't show up in the Common Room soon."

"Okay," you say and walk slowly hand-in-hand together until you have to part in separate directions. You give him a kiss and one last hug, and take off love-struck towards the Common Room.

You smile vividly, so abstracted in thought that it takes you quite a while to notice the footsteps trotting behind you again. You take a few more steps and turn around quickly. When you do so, the sound of the footsteps increasingly diminishes until barely audible. You sense someone next to you and feel a slight gush of air as suddenly, the sound increases rapidly, like someone running away.

"Who are you!" you yell, while running towards the sound. You continue running until you can't hear it anymore. While catching your breath, you look around suspiciously once again and continue your way towards the Common Room.

When you get inside, there are still about ten people awake; making you feel surprised until you remember that tomorrow is Saturday. You notice Hermione and Ron, still asleep on the couch. You smile and start walking towards the dormitory while you overhear a first year girl chatting with her friends. "I'm so excited for my birthday tomorrow!" she says excitedly, "I'll finally be twelve!" Her buoyant way of talking brings thoughts of your sister to mind as you remember that you haven't yet written to your family.

"Shoot! I forgot!" you whisper out loud and walk up to the dormitory to find a quill and parchment. You sit down at a desk and write them a long letter including information about getting placed in Gryffindor, your friends, your classes, Draco, and anything else you feel is important. You get up, open the window, and walk over to Destiny's cage. You take her out and tie the letter around her leg. "This is for Mom and Dad," you say while giving her a treat. She hoots thankfully and you say, "I'll give you more when you get back." With that, she flies out the window and you shut it tightly.
Yay! Not only did Draco ask me out tonight, he also kissed me! *Sighs happily*
I'm getting kind of creeped out by whatever is following me. :-\
I can't believe I forgot to write to my parents. Oops...
I don't want to go out with Draco...
Sorry, but I have to leave you here. I know what you're thinking: Not another cliffhangger! I don't mean for it to be cruel; I do it to keep you in suspense for a little while. I will post the next one as soon as possible. :-) Note: The higher the rating, the more motivated I am to write it faster. *Hint hint* lol ;-)
Noooo! I hate cliffhangers!
*Rates 5*
"YOU TRAITOR!" the choleric voice yells, echoing throughout the hallway.

Draco lets out an irritated grunt and you turn around to find the girl that was hanging on Draco and her friend, both with their arms crossed.

"Pansy, I thought I told you not to follow me," says Draco.

"I wouldn't have followed you if this half-wit hadn't of run into me this morning," she says while motioning to you and holding up a piece of paper. "She made us drop everything and what luck of mine that I'd pick up a note that you gave her asking to meet you here." She waves the piece of paper in the air and looks at her friend, "Can you believe this, Millicent?" Millicent shakes her head and Pansy looks back at Draco and continues, "Enlighten me. Tell me what you could possible want to ask her."

"How many times do I have to tell you, Pansy? You are not my girlfriend. And what I am going to ask _____ is none of your concern." Draco says, clearly still aggravated.

Pansy begins walking towards Draco and Millicent follows imitating every action and facial expression Pansy makes. As they get closer, you realize that Millicent looks like an overblown version of Pansy: Both have dark hair cut into a bob, distinguishing-shaped faces, with the same covetous glint in malicious eyes. Although fairly comparable, Pansy is gaunt and lanky while Millicent is husky and considerably taller.

They stop and look at Draco, again crossing their arms. "Why are you saying that? You told me you love me," Pansy says.

Draco rolls his eyes and replies, "I never said that, Pansy, and you know it."

A perturbed expression constructs on Pansy's pug-shaped face and she points at you with her finger. "You're planning on leaving me for that ugly, disgrace of a witch? Is that what you're trying to tell me, Draco?"

You feel the anger boiling up inside of you, but before you can say a word to her, Draco sternly replies, "You are so thick! How many times do I have to tell you? I'm not your boyfriend. An 'ugly, disgrace of a witch,' you say? Let me tell you, _____ is, by far, prettier than you."

Her jaw plunges down and Millicent slumps while distressfully looking around the corridor. Pansy stalls, trying to think of a comeback, but instead yells, "I can't believe you!" while crumpling up the note. She throws it at Draco, but he does nothing but simply blink when it bounces off his forehead. She shoots you an envious glare and tromps back the way she came. Millicent scurries closely behind her.

Draco picks up the note and then turns to look at you. "I'm sorry you had to be bothered by her. She's just an ex-girlfriend trying to convince herself her and I are still dating." He puts the note in his pocket and places his hands on your arms.

"Thank you for sticking up for me," you say and give him a smile.

"It was nothing. I really meant what I said," he says while smiling back. He pauses for a few seconds and then asks, "What I was about to ask you before Pansy interrupted was if you'd like to be my girlfriend?"

You lower your eyes, debating on what to say. **What if he and Pansy really do have a thing going on? However, it didn't seem like it from the way he yelled at her.**

Draco detects your uneasiness and he guides your chin up. "Trust me, nothing is going on with Pansy and I," he says, seemingly reading the suspicion in your eyes. He gives you a flirty smile and says, "Why don't I persuade you a little?" while guiding your chin up a little further until your lips meet. An undeniable sense of happiness overcomes you and all feelings of distrust become hindered while you and Draco share a deep, affectionate kiss.

When the kiss ends, you both lean your foreheads against one another's, completely forgetting that all of this is taking place in the center of an open corridor. "So what do you say," asks Draco, "will you make me the most envied guy in Hogwarts by being my girlfriend?"
Yes, yes, yes!
No, no, no!
You awake and let out a huge sigh of relief. After speculating the very odd dream, you hurriedly do your daily routine and go to breakfast. Draco isn't there, nor is Crabbe and Goyle, but Pansy is sitting down next to Millicent giving you a cold stare. You make sure you give her a prevailing smile and you sit down next to Parvati and greet everyone.

As you do, the morning mail begins arriving. Destiny flies down and drops a letter in front of you. You give her some food and she flutters away as Ron's owl swoops down into a plate of food, tumbling over and spilling everything.

"Bloody owl is a menace!" Ron exclaims, followed by the roaring laughter of the students at the Slytherin table. He takes the letter and the owl clumsily flies away.

You look at your letter, realizing that it's from your family and open it. In very neat writing it reads:

"Honey,
It's about time you wrote. We thought you forgot about us! That's very good that you've made some new friends. We're glad to hear that you are in Gryffindor, as the both of us were. Heidi is upset that she doesn't have her big sister to pester, but she's found herself quite a bunch of new friends here in England. Well, we're sure you'll succeed in doing well like you did in your previous school. Don't forget to keep writing. We miss you terribly.

Love,
Mom, Dad, and Heidi"

You grin and fold up the letter and put it in your pocket. You look around; everyone is still reading their letters. You notice that Harry isn't at the table again, but decide not to ask any questions.

You eat a little bit of food and drink some juice until everybody at your table looks behind you angrily. "What's the matter?" you ask them while you turn your head. When you meet Draco's blue-gray eyes, Ron reaches for his wand and commands, "Get away from her, Malfoy."

Draco ignores him and whispers, "Meet me outside by the lake", in your ear. You nod your head and watch him leave. When you turn your head back to the table, you see plentiful sets of confused eyes set on you.
Why is everyone giving me looks?
I wonder why Harry is late for breakfast again...
I miss my family.

Two words: Pansy Parkinson. She's awful, isn't she? Well, Draco has basically proved that he likes you instead of her and you're going out with him now! Yay! Do you think it was Pansy spying on you or was it someone else's footsteps that you heard? That was a spooky dream you had. Was the boy Draco? But the dream doesn't mean anything in particular... or does it? Most importantly, what or who could be pulling you down into the lake and will you escape or be rescued by Draco before you drown to death?

Please rate high and you'll find out what happends.
