Treason for Love - A Koga Story - Part 16

3 months later --> Gap Closer -> In the past three months the love between you and Koga has become overwhelmingly strong. The life that you have found with your new tribe has made you the happiest you have ever been and kinships have developed over the time between you and the wolves. Shinta and Sinera are more like your brother and sister than anything else. They treat you as though you had always been there with them. Dinara, though she is the one you are least close to, you have an understanding trust to each other. Manue is now your student. You are teaching the young one how to fight, hunt, and protect herself. Dinara would teach her, but she's not a very kind instructor. Takiko is very strong, agile, and an accomplished warrior. You and she spare and hunt together, call it your 'bonding time'. The only bad thing about your life now... is Zeera. She is still young, but her hatred for you never died, in fact, it grew. She picks a fight with you every chance she's gets, though only a few actually became seriously physical. Koga and Shinta both are sick of her behavior and would have exiled her by now if it wasn't for you. She wants to fight you and kill you. You know this... but you still feel bad for her. Keeping her in the tribe and letting her fight you is the least you figure you can give her... especially after what you had already taken away...

Satsuki's POV -> "Hey!" You scream as Manue slammed onto your back. You grabbed the young wolf and flipped her off you, flinging her to the ground. She landed on her back in the grass with a soft thud. "Better." You told her extending your hand to help her up. "Really?" She asked taking the kind gesture. "Really. I didn't hear you coming this time." You complimented pulling her to her feet. She stood and brushed herself off. You looked over to see Koga, Shinta, and Sinera lounging on the rocks around the cave entrance. You and Manue wander over to them. You take a seat in front of Koga and lean back against his chest. The sound of his heart beating soothed you. "Hey runt." Shinta teasingly joked as Manue took a seat on the ground. "Hey be nice." Sinera told him. Shinta always teases Manue like this, she gets a little annoyed sometimes, but always puts up with it. Shinta hopped from the rock and landed, squatting next to Manue. "How's that training coming along?" He asked her and playfully pushed her. She looked at him menacingly, but kept her cool. "Obviously not too well." Shinta teased again, while pushing her shoulder one more time. This time she grabbed his wrist, shot to her feet, darted around him, and pulled his arm up behind him. Then she drove her knee into his back, causing him to fall onto his stomach. "Actually, it's coming along pretty well." She mocked as she pinned him in the damp grass. "What the hell are you doing to my little sister Shinta!" Dinara hollered as she and Takiko came up behind you and Koga. "What am I doing to her!?!" Shinta screamed, defenseless. "Come on Manue. Don't damage the goods." Sinera joked. "Thanks sweetie." Shinta said sarcastically as Manue let him up. "Hey cat!" You all hear a rough female voice call. You knew it was Zeera, she was the only one that called you that. You slowly turned to the right to see her angry form standing there. "What Zeera?" You asked irritated, you really weren't in the mood for her right now. Zeera's dead black eyes stared at you as she clenched her fists. < She came for a fight. > You think as you slowly stand. "What the hell Zeera?!" Sinera hollered, genuinely angry. "What did she ever do to you anyway?" Manue asked innocently. "That's between us. She knows what she did." Zeera replied watching you walk away from the rocks for fighting room. By now the rest of the tribe had realized that you and Zeera 'were at it again' and they started to form a wide circle to watch. You turned to her and said, "You ready?" She nodds a response, when suddenly Koga steps in front of you. "No." He says sternly. "I'm sick of this sh*t Zeera! Whatever you have against her drop it now beccause you are very close to getting kicked out of this tribe!" He yelled at her. "Koga..." You said quietly. He turned to look at you and said, "This ends now Satsuki." "How dare you tell me to get over it! Even if you are my leader you have no right to tell me such a thing! You don't even know what she did!" Zeera hollered losing her cool. "Then tell us what she did that was soooo terrible!" Manue challenged. "Ask her! Zeera sneered. "Ask her why my family was taken away from me." She continued. Everyone turned to you. You snickered and said, "Well I thought that was blattenly obvious by now... I killed them..."
This isn't gonna go over too well... is it?
"Satsuki..." Koga whispered staring at you in disbelief, along with the rest of the tribe. "Don't look at me like that Koga." You told him, seeing the shock in his eyes. "You know what I used to be... is it really that surprising?" You questioned. His eyes fell to the ground. "So please... stand aside so she can have her fight." You requested. "No." Koga said looking back at you. "Even if you did kill them, I'm not letting the two of you fight." He protested. "Koga this isn't your fight to decide." Zeera snapped. "But this is my tribe! And there won't be a war among its members!" He retorted. "Then we're both out." You said. Everyone looked at you in confusion. "After the fight, the loser walks and the winner is welcome back." You planned, then looked at Zeera. She nodded and stated, "Agreed." "Satsuki!" Koga hollered, outraged at your attempt at defiance. "Koga!" You hollered back then went on, "Five years ago I ripped Zeera's mother, father, and older brother to pieces in their own home while she watched. She hid in fear, defenseless, as I slaughtered her entire family in front of her eyes. I know what it is like to have family killed and you being helpless to stop it. I know the hatred you harbor for that murderer. Are you really going to deny her this fight?" Koga looked at you stunned. The tribe was silent as you stared into your love's eyes. His gaze fell to the ground as he took a few steps back, giving his consent.
