In the Darkness of the Moon part 28 (Inuyasha tale): Tears for Inuyasha and Concealed Deceiving

Bienvenue! That's welcome in French! lol my bad, to everyone i sent messages to this is 28 not 29 i cannot count! anyways I'm glad you all came back to read this quiz cause I know I lied and it shouldve been out a couple weeks ago, but better late then never I always say! Ok and big announcement, read the results it has a lot of stuff to say today lol. Oh and a huge thanks to DemonGal711 and 11InugomeSanku22 aka Sarah for helping me with this quiz. Thanks guys I really appreciate it!! ^_^Anyways so last time on "In the Darkness of the Moon"... Sarah just found out Inuyasha has feelings for both KAGOME AND KIKYO! Now she's ran away to think things through, and guess who appears...

*End Flashback*

Sarah: "Of course I still love Ryo. It wasn't an infatuation...I love him, but Inuyasha...he won't leave my mind...I think I've loved him since I met him, I just didn't realize..."

Night falls upon the forest, and a gentle rain begins to fall. Droplets make their way threw the leaves, but Sarah makes no motion to move. How can she possibly sleep with such distress on her mind? Her heart is shattered between an old love and a new one. Time passes...it's almost midnight, the rain keeps drizzling onto the tree tops, then Inuyasha appears in the mist of rain and moonlight.

Inuyasha: *thinking, relieved* "There she is."
Sarah: "Why are you here?"
Inuyasha: "Looking for you stupid, you just ran off on us."

Sarah: "Go away Inuyasha. I don't need a chaperone."
Inuyasha: "Well if you didn't just run off I wouldnt be here! And besides I don't care where you were, everyone else was worried!"

Sarah glared at Inuyasha but there was so much pain in her eyes. He didn't realize how much he'd hurt her and how much those words hurt her just now.

Sarah: "Well then you can leave! I don't need you or anyone else! *tears welding up in her eyes* So just leave me alone!!"
Inuyasha: *thinking* "She's crying...this is a mess." *talking* "Stop it Sarah. You are coming back with me whether you like it or not. Besides "your" Ryo is worried about you."
Sarah: "Then why didn't he come?! *crying now* "I hate you!"

Sarah slaps Inuyasha. He stares at her, his eyes cold on her face. Sarah backs up suprised that Inuyasha didn't blow up at her for that move.

Inuyasha: "Are you done?"

Sarah glares at him and turns around. Inuyasha starts to walk but then turns around to find Sarah still standing there.

Inuyasha: "Are you coming or am I going to have to drag you back?!"
Sarah: "No, I'd rather walk thank you."
Inuyasha: "That wasn't an offer cat."

Damn Inuyasha can be soo cold! (me: is it just me or are we in antartica now?)
They begin to walk back in dead silence neither one wanting to talk or knowing what to say.

Inuyasha: *thinking* "She looks terrible...I feel terrible. Damn it all Shippo, someone needs to sew his mouth shut. Now everyone's mad at me."
Sarah: *thinking* "Now what am I going to do...who do I choose Inuyasha or Ryo? Ryo certainly acts the more faithful one, but there's something about Inuyasha...but Shippo said he loved Kikyo and Kagome...and he makes me so damn mad!!"

Sarah sighs.

Sarah: "I'm sorry Kagome is mad at you. It's my fault."

Inuyasha eyes Sarah half surprised she even said anything to him.

Inuyasha: "Stop putting the blame on yourself, Sarah. It's not your fault so stop apologizing. Kagome will get over it anyways, she always does."

Sarah sadly looks down at her hands and shivers a little and begins to walk slower due to exhaustion of the whole day and all those emotions. Inuyasha watches her out of the corner of his eye.

Inuyasha: "You're such an idiot...soaked to the bone. Let's get you back to camp before you get sick."
Sarah: "Well I wouldn't be out here if it wasnt for you anyways! I dont need your help Inuyasha. I didnt need it when I was a mortal on the new moon and I certainly dont need it now!"
Inuyasha: *thinking* "I wasn't there to protect her and now she thinks I love Kikyo and Kagome...is this what this is all about? I thought she loved that Tiger demon..."
I did but Inuyasha you're sooo much more hotter! (me: I know that's what I'm saying!)
Inuyasha impatient with Sarah, picks her up bridal-style and runs through the forest. Sarah fights him, but Inuyasha wins out due to his strong grip and Sarah's exhaustion. As time continues, Sarah snuggles in closer to Inuyasha...he was so warm. She was so cold and soaked through with that nights rain, but Inuyasha came to look for her, how her heart jumped with happiness when she saw him. Soon enough, even though there was a steady rain still falling, Sarah fell asleep in Inuyashas arms. He blushed and kicked himself for being so cold towards Sarah, but she didn't let up either at him. She was so damn stubborn, always getting beneath his skin...yet Inuyasha couldn't help but think this was all because of him. It was always his fault because he's a half-demon but now, this girl, a half-demon like him, is throwing every curve ball she's got at him just because of love he had for Kikyo, but Sarah is still in love with Ryo, shouldn't he be mad? But why shuold he be mad, he doesn't like Sarah or at least he thought he didn't... That next morning we find the group up and awake and Sarah still wrapped in blankets asleep on the ground near Inuyasha. Shippo jumps on Sarah to try to wake her.

Miroku: "Is she awake yet?"

Shippo jumps off Sarah.

Shippo: "Nope, she sleeps like a log."
Sarah: *smirks and opens eyes* "Don't worry Shippo, I was awake long ago."
Shippo: "Sarah!! I'm so glad youre okay! I was so worried about you! Where did you go?"

Shippo gives Sarah a big hug.

Sarah: "Thank you Shippo, I just needed to think for a while. That's all."

Shippo: "Well I'm glad you're back to your old self, not all quiet and edgy like you were after-".

Miroku quickly clamps his mouth shut before he reminded Sarah of her family's death again.

Miroku: "Heh heh, what he means to say is, good morning."
Sarah: "Thank you."

The gang goes about their morning stuff, eating and whatnot, and they pack up ready to travel again.

Shippo: "Sarah, why didn't you tell us you are a priestess?"

Sarah looks at Shippo surprised because she hadnt told anyone she was actually a priestess.

Sarah: "How did you come to know this Shippo?"
Shippo: "Ryo told us."

Sarah looks to Ryo and he scratches the back of his head in embarrassment.

Ryo: "Forgive me Sarah. I thought you would have told them that long ago."
Sarah: "I only met them not to long ago. Not but over about two weeks ago..."
Sarah: *thinking*: "It's only been that long? It seems like ages ago we met...and so much has happened since we've known each other..."

Sarah looks at Inuyasha and he just keeps looking ahead. And Inuyasha was looking ahead but he was deep in thought and trying to hear what Sarah was saying.

Sango: "So you are a priestess?"

Sarah stops staring at Inuyasha and turns back to Sango.

Sarah: "Hum? Yes. It's very complicated. And I was scared to tell you all that I was a priestess. I don't really know what it is to be a priestess, or more or less, the powers that come with it either. In my village, I was a healer like my mother. Thats all my powers from a priestess that I have ever used. I really didn't become a full priestess till my father passed away and that was the day I met you. I was trained to fight like a priestess using the spiritual powers and Sacred Arrow-"
Sango: "You can use the Sacred Arrow like Kagome and Kikyo?"
Sarah: "Yes and that's where it's complicated. Kikyo and my father always taught me the way of a priestess and how to fight like one, but me being a half-demon I always relied on that power. My powers as a priestess increased when Papa died because I inherited his spiritual powers he got from my great-grandmother Priestess Midoriko."
ohhhhh my great granny was the creator of the Shikon no tama! (me: yes very exciting ^_^)
Ryo: "You never told me you were descended from her lineage Sarah."
Sarah: "It was a family secret..."
Miroku: "So you're a descendant of the creator of the Shikon Jewel of the Four Souls?"
Sarah: "Yes. I only recently realized I have came into new powers like detecting jewel shards and finally being able to activate a Sacred Arrow. Before, it didnt work well, in fact, not at all. But when I fought Kikyo a few days ago, I was finally able to create it's power. I never really liked using my priestess power because well my mother was always afraid I'd hurt myself being half demon and all. But someday, I will become a full human, just like my Papa and great-grandmother."
Shippo: "And you can detect jewel shards now too?"
Sarah: "Yes, why is there someone else who can?"
Sango: "Well Kikyo and Kagome can, but I didn't think there was anyone else who could."
Ryo: *thinking* "Just what I wanted to know."
Sarah: "Ryo, how did you know I was a priestess? In the village I was just a mere healer, nothing special."
Ryo: "The knights of the Royal Guard new more about the royal family than you think Sarah. We were entrusted with many secrets."
Sarah: "Oh."

With Naraku...one of his poisonous insects that were spying on the gang returned to his lair deep within Hakurei mountain...

Naraku: "Sarah is a descendant of Midoriko? Interesting...Kikyo."

Kikyo appears in front of Naraku.

Naraku: "It looks as though the little half-demon girl you failed to destroy is a descendant of our dear Priestess Midoriko."
Kikyo: "I did not fail to kill her. My hunt is not over with Naraku."
Naraku: "Yes, it's only half begun. But you still need to bring me the half-demon girl in one piece. I need her power. And the mortal girl, bring her to me also."
Kikyo: "You still need Kagome?"
Naraku: "Why not? Isn't your dear Inuyasha in love with her too? Just the more incentive to bring Inuyasha closer to his doom. Plus I can still use her for my own little plans. But first things first. The half-demon girl. She can also detect jewel shards. We could use this to our advantage, also adding in her five shards she carries. But theres no rush, their trust is important to gain also."
Kikyo: "I understand Naraku. All will be complete soon."

Kikyo leaves.

Naraku: "Yes and I will rid the world of you, Inuyasha, and anyone else who stands in my way..."

Kikyo overhears Naraku.

Naraku: "I will become the most powerful demon and I will kill Inuyasha."
Kikyo: *thinking* "And that is when you shall be struck down Naraku. Go and have your game with the girl and gather the shards of the jewel, and once you found them all, then I will send you to hell."
yeah Kikyo that's what im talking about send the bastard to H-E-double hockey sticks!! lol
Naraku: "Bankotsu."

The Band of Seven appear in front of Naraku.

Bankotsu: "Naraku, you summoned us?"
Naraku: "I have a small task for you..."

The day passes with nothing out of the ordinary. The gang makes camp again in a forest near the well where Kagome should be coming out within the next day or two. Sarah and Inuyasha have mostly kept to themselves; Sarah occupying herself with Ryo, and Inuyasha being stubborn and grumpy as usual. Sarah went off to collect firewood as Miroku, Sango, and Shippo set up for the night. Ryo went to fetch some food and water and Inuyasha is in a tree as usual, being especially lazy today just to hit a nerve with Sarah. And he sure did. While in the forest, Sarah took out some bottled up anger and emotions out on the trees. Her blades thrashed about the mulch and mud on the forests floor and it sliced away at limbs on tree sending leaves sprawling everywhere. After about a half an hour of whacking away, she felt much better and had plenty of firewood. Sarah gathered it all up and started towards camp slowly due to all the logs and the heaviness of it all. She got to campsite and her arms felt like bricks, she passed by Inuyasha and didn't even look at him. Inuyasha eyed her and she tripped on a rock and crashed to the ground. Inuyasha moved a little in the tree, but she looked right up to him and glared as Ryo came racing over to help...which happened to piss Inuyasha off even more.

Ryo: "Sarah, here. Ill do this. You go rest for a bit."
Sarah: "Thank you. At least someone here cares for my well being."

Miroku comes racing up to Sarah and grabs her hand.

Miroku: "I also care for your well being Sarah. Unlike Inuyasha, *hand moves towards Sarahs butt* Im willing to try-"
Sango: "TRY WHAT MONK?!"

Miroku backs up away from Sarah and Sango as fire blazes behind them.(lol i love jap anime when they're all mad lol)

Miroku: "Uhh...nothing resist all temptations. You know you're the only one for me Sango."
Sango: *blushes* "Yeah and I know all you are is a pervert!"

*SLAP* Miroku rubs the side of his face and he decides to stay to himself for the rest of the night...later on the fire is crackling. It's now nighttime outside. The wind is cool and it feels wonderful. The sky is glittering with stars and the light from the moon casts a soft ivory glow onto the campsite. Most of the gang has gone to bed except Sarah. She stays awake lying down next to the fire staring into the burning flames...
and?!?!? what the hell happens? why is the band of seven back!? don't leave me hanigng!
