You grumbled as your alarm went off and you threw your covers off. It was quarter to six, and it was Hogwarts time.
You stumbled around your room, officially no longer a morning person. You had slept in so late all those mornings at the Malfoy's, it was now very hard to actually get out of bed at the time you used to.
"Graaaace?"
You heard Draco knock on your door as you were just finishing getting dressed in normal, Muggle clothes. You found out that you had to take a train to get to Hogwarts, and the train was in a Muggle train station, so everyone had to wear Muggle clothes, unless they wished to be stared at.
"What time does this stupid train come anyways?" you asked while trying to put some earrings in your ears.
"Eight thirty," Draco sighed, walking up behind you and snapping your bra strap.
"DRACO!!"
He had been going out of his way to annoy you lately. You smacked him on the arm, but he grabbed your hand and pulled you close into him, then dipped you backwards.
"Draco!" you grunted, trying to wiggle out of his grip. He laughed and pulled you up quickly, making you end up very close to his face.
"Stop messing with me Malfoy," you giggled, pushing him away. He smirked and grabbed your arm, dragging you downstairs for breakfast.
"Morning dad," you and Draco said at the same time upon entering the kitchen. Both Lucius and Voldemort were sitting at the table, each drinking a coffee.
"Dad, you need to lay off on the coffee," you laughed, sitting beside him and piling some eggs onto your plate, "You should really only have one cup a day."
Your father had about eight cups of coffee a day, plus two in the evening.
"I swear you're going to go on a caffeine high some day," you chuckled, making him roll his eyes and take a sip of coffee.
"Mmmm."
"Not that you really care," you muttered quickly, scooping some eggs into your mouth.
Breakfast was continued in silence, until, "Dad I don't want to go to Hooogwarts."
Your father groaned and shot a rather desperate look at Lucius, who shrugged.
"Grace," your father sighed, "I don't want you to go to Hogwarts. It's a Muggle loving school with a stubborn fool for a Headmaster, but I'm not sending you to a wizarding school in another country."
You stared at your plate and pushed a tiny piece of egg around, "I swear I'm going to die there!"
Your father groaned.
"No seriously!" you said, turning to look at him, "I'm going to... Get lost in some dark hallway and be maimed by some magical painting! And you'll never see me again!"
Draco snorted loudly, but quickly became interested in the bread basket when you and your father looked at him.
"Grace," your father said slowly, sighing, "You aren't going to die, okay? I have tons of supporters at school who will look after you, and not to mention you're in Gryffindor." He made a disgusted face for a moment, as if just realizing what house you were in, "Oh god you're in Gryffindor. Well at least Potter won't let anything happen to his groupies."
"I never said I was his groupie," I snapped, rolling my eyes. You still didn't understand why your father hated him so much. Harry was sweet and friendly, and also like six times younger then him, so you wondered why your father even cared about him.
"Well, nevertheless," your father sighed, "You'll be fine at Hogwarts."
"No I won't," you replied, standing up to go brush your teeth, "I'm going to be maimed by a painting, you'll see."
"Maimed by a painting?" Voldemort sighed, rubbing his forehead, "She's going to purposely walk into some vicious painting just to prove she was right!!"
Voldemort knew, her mother would have done that.
"I'll make sure she doesn't get..." Draco looked like he was having a hard time keeping a straight face, "...w-walk into a painting."
Voldemort glared at him, making him stop chuckling to himself.
Voldemort was a little nervous about sending his new little girl off to school. He wasn't sure how she would do, or is she was caught up enough. Or what if she goes into the Forbidden Forest?! Voldemort's stomach gave a twist and he took another chug of his coffee.
"Keep her out of the Forest," Voldemort said to Draco as the boy quickly got up to go get his stuff ready.
"Of course m'lord," Draco said seriously, bowing to his Master as he left the kitchen.
"Maimed by a painting... What doesn't she think of?" Draco laughed to himself as he ran up the stairs, skipping two at a time.
He wandered around his room, picking up a few Quidditch magazines he had missed. Grunting, Draco tried to stuff them into his bag, until he heard Grace talking, crying?
He got up and peeked into her room, seeing Grace standing on her small balcony.
"Yeah I know..." she laughed, brushing a few tears away from her slightly swollen eyes, "I just miss you ... Uncle. I'm going to that... school today. Yeah, yeah that one."
Draco frowned and noticed she was talking into something, something pressed up against her ear.
Oh I wish I actually payed some attention in Muggle studies... That's... fellytone? Or something along those lines...
"No I'm being treated fine," Grace sighed, her voice going a little calmer, "I just don't want to go! I'm scared to go... You know? I hate new schools... Uncle I miss you so much."
She stood silent for a minute, obviously listening to her uncle. Draco sighed and slowly backed away, giving her some privacy.
I DON'T WANNA GO TO SCHOOOOOOOOL!!!
what are you talking about?! i'm dying to go to school!!
"Grace?"
You looked up from your bags and sniffed, seeing Draco standing at the door, "Yeah?"
"You ... ok?" he asked cautiously, walking into the room and sitting down on your bed.
"Yeah!" you laughed, zipping your bag up, "I'm fine, why?"
"I heard you crying."
Oh bloody hell...
"You heard that?" you asked softly, "I... I didn't think I was that loud."
He smiled and stood up, then grabbed your bags, "You weren't that loud really... I was just passing by."
You nodded and started to follow him downstairs, but then stopped.
How can he just be passing, when his room comes before mine?!
You had a feeling Draco wasn't just passing by, but you decided to ignore that thought.
"Do you have everything you need Grace," your father asked, looking at your small bag and raising an eyebrow.
"I'm a skilled packer," you laughed.
"Books?"
"Yes."
"Pet?"
"Er... We didn't get one."
Your father let out a soft groan, "Wand?!"
"Yes dad," you giggled.
"Where?"
You pulled your wand out of your sweater pocket and held it up, making him smile.
Draco had rushed off to grab his bags, and Lucius was off somewhere.
"Try to enjoy yourself," your father sighed, tucking some hair behind your ears, "I do want you to learn something."
"Why can't I just study here?" you asked. Your father shook his head and smiled, "You need to have a teacher."
"Lucius, or yo-"
"A real teacher Grace."
You smiled weakly, "I hate starting at new schools."
He rolled his eyes and wrapped his arm around your shoulder, "Trust me, you're a Riddle. We did very well at Hogwarts."
"Platform Nine and Three Quarters?" you asked, trying not to laugh, "Draco are you reading the tickets wrong?"
You and Draco had been at the train station for about an hour, looking around in some of the shops. It felt great to be surrounded by Muggles again.
"Yes Grace, relax," Draco chuckled, seeing you getting a little panicky. You worried that you may miss the stupid train if Draco kept messing around with you.
"I know where to go," he laughed, "I've been coming here for six years, ok?"
You gulped and nodded your head, then headed towards Platform Nine and Ten.
"Draco where the hell is the platform?!" you snapped, looking around. He rolled his eyes, "So much for having a little fun with you... Ok!"
He sighed.
"It's magical Grace, we wizards have to be careful about getting around in Muggle infested areas! So! You have to discreetly lean against the wall between Platforms Nine and Ten, and you'll slide right into Nine and Three Quarters."
The pair of you ended up sliding your luggage trolleys in without people noticing, but it was getting busier and Draco said neither of you could just walk into a wall.
"Ok, we could... um..." you looked around, "Lean on it, then fall in."
"Too obvious," Draco said, shaking his head. His eyes suddenly lighted up and he gulped, "I'm going to kiss you."
"What?!" you laughed, "How is that discreet at all?!"
Draco shrugged, "When I kiss you, you lean back into the wall and we'll fall through, ok?"
You looked around and licked your lips, then sighed, "Fine."
Draco grinned and wrapped his arms around your waist, pulling you into him.
"And it has to look real," he reminded, looking you directly in the eye.
"Yeah yeah," you muttered, "Let's just get this over with."
Truth be told, you weren't very comfortable making out with someone in a public place.
Draco leaned down and pressed his lips softly against yours, and you started to lean back into the wall, but you found you couldn't really move. Draco's hands were holding you in place. Your hands slid up to his face you cupped his chin, then pushed him away.
"I thought we were moving into the wall," you said, looking up at him.
"Right," he muttered, leaning down and kissing you quickly, taking your breath away almost immediately. His hands slowly slid from your waist and up your sides until they delicately cupped your face. You pulled him backwards and suddenly everything went dark.
YES! FINALLY!!
NO NO NO!! AAAAA BACK OFF!!!
why did it go dark?
You opened your eyes and looked around to find yourself in an old fashioned train station, steam blowing everywhere from the very old looking red train, which read in gold letters Hogwarts Express.
You felt a tongue suddenly slither across your lower lip and you zoned back into reality to find yourself still kissing Draco.
You pulled away and laughed, "Do you do that with someone every time you go through the wall?"
"No," he breathed, "Only with you."
"There you two are!"
You and Draco suddenly broke apart to see Blaise running over with a few other boys.
"We hoped you two got here on time," he said, smiling happily at you.
"Where's Flint?" you asked, noticing he wasn't in the crowd of boys.
"Oh he's done with Hogwarts," Blaise laughed, pulling you away from Draco and towards the train, "He graduated a few years ago, and this is my last year."
You smiled and looked back to Draco, who was speaking with one of the boys and soon found yourself being swept onto the train.
"So Draco," Pansy gushed when Grace left to go change into her uniform, "Is she really the Dark Lords daughter?!"
Draco nodded his head and smirked, "And she stayed at my house the WHOLE summer. As muggle-like as she is, she's pretty damn good at magic."
"Why is she in Gryffindor?!"
Draco shrugged, "I think Dumbledore tampered with the Sorting Hat to put her into Gryffindor."
"You can't make the Sorting Hat work for you," a know it all voice snapped, "It has a mind of it's own."
Draco and his friends looked up to see the Golden Trio standing at the door, Potter and Weasley glaring at the group of Slytherins.
"What do you want Mudblood?" Draco snapped, "This is the Slytherin half of the train. Go back to your pathetic Gryffindork side and leave us be."
Hermione's eye twitched, but she didn't move, "We're looking for Grace. McGonagall wants us to look after her. Your little task is over, she's going to be with real wizards now."
Draco stood up and drew out his wand, only to spot Grace watching them curiously as she marched down the hall from the bathroom, clad in her Gryffindor uniform.
"There you are Grace!" Hermione laughed, making Draco's ears want to start bleeding.
"Hi Hermione," Grace said softly, Harry, Ron."
Harry smiled at her, and Draco's stomach knotted as she smiled back.
"Comon Grace," Hermione said, shooting Draco a malicious glare, "Gryffindors aren't allowed on this side of the train."
Grace shot a look back to Draco as Hermione dragged her off.
"See you later," she called, smiling at him. Draco returned her smile and she looked away, following the trio back to their cabin.
"Tell the other Voldemort supporters to look after her," Draco hissed, slamming the door to his cabin, "We shouldn't let her spend too much time around those three..."
His friends nodded and conversations soon erupted about their summer vacations. Draco stood silent, however, watching the trees rush by from the window. He didn't like the smile Grace gave Harry, he didn't like it one bit.
oooo is someone jealous?
HARRY!
*still in shock from kissing draco*
Oh my, it seems Draco is a bit jealous... and MAYBE possesive? Who knows, do you notice? How about that kiss... And finally off to Hogwarts eh? Good luck with that...
