Kill who? I don't have to tell you that. Headshot from 500 meters. Gawd was it beautiful. I slit his throat in the middle of the night. Poisoned his dinner, and watched him die. Explosives. A three-pronged assault on his stronghold. I didn't kill him! He committed suicide. I swear, I didn't kill anyone.

Why did you do it?

Do what? Why should I need a reason? Because I could, and it felt good. For the cause. It served my own ends. Just doing my job. Now that is complicated. Do you have a few hours for me to explain it to you? Because murder is a skill, and like any other if you want to maintain a level of excellence, you have to practice constantly. Why buy the gun if you're not going to use it?

How many people besides your target died?

None. I kill with precision. None. In fact, you can't prove I even killed the first one. None. I didn't even kill the first one. He killed himself, I swear. Only those that were unavoidable. Depends on what my orders were. Just the one. Anyone else I killed is another issue entirely. I'm not sure. Can you wait a bit while I make some calls? I lost count. I just know it was a lot. Why would you ask me a question like that???

Did he put up a fight?

How would I know? Nope. He never saw it coming. Nope. His defenses were pathetic. Nope. No one puts up a fight with a garotte wire around their throat. Which one? There were a lot of casualties... From that distance? Of course not. I gave him the chance. It's not my fault he was inept. He fought until the bitter end, but his death was entirely his fault. That would depend. Did I like him?

How much blood are we talking about here?

Blood? ::faints:: Blood? I'm not an animal! Blood? Not on my clothes, buster! Blood? Good luck finding the body! Well, since I didn't want to wake anyone, I had to use a knife. So yeah, there was a bit of blood. Gallons. But does it really matter when the whole building collapses? It was a clean wound, so he didn't bleed too much. Well, headshots have a tendency to bleed, don't they? That's not really my concern.

Do you feel bad about killing him?

No, because I didn't do it! Do you feel bad about squashing a worthless insect? That depends. What did I get out of it? Maybe a little bit, but it will be all right. Eventually I'll get used to it. Hell no! He deserved it! No, and I'd do it all over again, given the chance. Yeah, I feel bad. That was a disgrace. I could have done a lot better. I stopped feeling bad about things like this long ago. There's no room in this lifestyle for feelings.

What did you do after killing him?

I got falsely accused of murder, you dolt! Threw a big party. A celebration of the deceased's life in loving memory. Planned my next hit. Watched the chaos ensue. Revelled in his tears. Cleaned my gun. Returned to the hideout. Went out for a beer. Um.... nothing. I died in the blast.

What's the most important thing for an assassin to have?

A nice cell while he waits in line for the lethal injection. Stealth and Cunning. Faith. A total lack of conscience. Concealable weapons. Minions who know how to follow orders. Buddies you can rely on. And skill, of course. Charisma and acting ability. A proper gun.

Your buddy just got caught in a botched assassination. How do you feel?

Pissed. Any buddy of mine would have gladly given his life for the cause. My friends wouldn't do that!!! Hang on buddy! I'm coming for ya! Damn it! You're supposed to die before getting caught! He used to be my buddy. Too bad he pissed me off, I could probably have helped him. I'm not worried. He has a perfect alibi. ::sigh:: Sometimes these things happen when you play the game. He got caught? I'd kill him myself if I could! I taught him better than that! A soul of ice cannot really connect with people. I have no real friends.

Because I'm dead! Just TRY prosecuting what's left of my corpse! I was just following orders. This is all part of the plan. Because they'll never match the bullet to the gun. Because I plan on doing far worse to them than they're doing to me. I know people in high places. Because I am right now in the process of biting off my own tongue. Because by the time they realize they caught the decoy, I'll be long gone. If they ever knew I was here. I AM worried! I didn't kill anyone!

Are you going to kill again?

Don't you get it?!? I didn't kill the first time! Of course. That's just what I do. If the money's good. Depends. Do I have any bullets left? Until I get bored. I don't know. Let me check my e-mail. Well, not immediately again... Am I on top yet? No? Then I'm going to kill again. You can't kill again if you're dead. But if I was still alive, of course I'd do it again!

Final Question... Aren't you even a little worried there might be a Hell?

Nope. Of course! That's why I didn't kill anyone! I'm prepared to bargain my way out of it. I'm sure Satan's just like any other man in power. He has weaknesses. Of course not. What I'm doing is right. Worrying about such things is an indulgance for one's free time. I crossed that bridge back when I chose this way of life. I'll repent on my death bed. This IS hell! And I AM the devil!
