Gathering pearls and seashells to make pretty things with. Swimming among the shadowy tide pools, weeping. Sitting on my beautiful coral throne, admiring my many treasures. Luring unsuspecting sailors away to certain tragedy.

Mermaids just like me, of course. Gods, goddesses, and immortals. Animals and sea creatures. Sailors and fishermen. Pirates and rogues. Water sprites and faeries. ...Dead and gone... *sobs*

Describe your home.

The remains of a shipwreck, filled with odds and ends from the human world. A crystal palace deep beneath the waves. A majestic coral castle, decorated with colorful seashells and jewels surrounded by guards. A cozy coral bed, draped with emerald green seaweed. A mysterious grotto filled with lost treasure, where no man dares enter. A shadowy cave of ice. Cold, but strangely beautiful. Your home is wherever you are.

How do you adorn yourself?

With colorful seashells and strings of pearls wound into your hair. With jewelry that you've made yourself from sea glass and coral that you've found along the shore. A thin veil of sparkling sea foam is all you need. A wreath of ocean flowers, like sea lavender in your hair and a chain of flowers about your neck. A marvelous jeweled crown upon your head and a scepter in your hand. Gorgeous, glittering rings and bits of treasure that you've found. Your only adornment is the glistening trails of your tears running down your cheeks.

So, what do you think of humans?

Bah, humans are such silly creatures. Running about on those things called "legs..." Eh, I'm mildly curious about them. But I don't see them very often. Humans are kind. I like to help them when I can. I'm intrigued by them and want to learn more. They fill my daydreams. They are inferior beings. Their world holds no interest for me. Humans are fun to toy with. Hee hee. >:) Humans are all heartbreakers! Every one of them! I hate them...

You have been captured by pirates! What are you going to do?

Live it up, baby! The captain is dead sexy... ;) Pitch a fit! They have no idea who they're messing with! You'll turn every last one of them into guppies as soon as you get the Cry and sob sorrowfully and loudly until they get sick of you and let you go. Enchant them by singing haunting melodies to them until they befriend you and agree to let you do what you want. Negotiate your release in exchange for some of your pearl necklaces. They're not bad guys, just greedy. Send a message to your friends via dolphin and wait for them to spring you in the dead of night. Call upon the animals of the air and the waves to help you.

At long last, your true love has come to sweep you away! What is he like?
