i smile when you're around,
i smile when you're near.
i smile when it's you're name i hear.
i smile when i walk past you,
pretending not to see.

i smile when you smile.
i smile when i see you for the first time in a while.
i smile when we hug and kiss on the cheek.
and on the days i don't see you,
that makes my day so bleak.

i smile when you're there.
i smile when you care.
i smile when i think of you twenty-four seven.
it's when i look into your eyes,
seems like looking into heaven.
i smile because you seem so persistent.
and yet, our relationship is nonexistant.
i like you,
and you know i do.
but i know you don't like me,
that's why we're not known as a "we"
but right now,
it's only you.....................and then
me.
