The World's Sorrowful Feelings
A poem inspired by, and to the same rhyme scheme of Robert Herrick's poem, "The Argument of His Book". It also has the same number of syllables in each line. We've have been doing poems like other famous poet's in our Language Arts Class, and I'm going to be publishing my favorites that I've written.I sing of songs that sing of songs that sing of songs of singing,
Of music rhymes and happy times, bells ringing.
I sing of harmony, of love and hate,
In times like these, its best to simply wait.
I write of hoping that the sun will rise,
And seeing through another person's eyes.
I sing of wanting peace and harmony,
While hoping everyone will soon be free.
I sing of watching flames dance on the walls,
As our young world slowly falls.
I write of being young and being old,
Of never doing things the way I'm told.
I write of silence, waiting for a sound,
Of things that never end up being found.
