The Shooting...
Just a poem based on a thing that happened somewhere...on TV...:)You were right there
Singing on the stage
I felt every care
Just melt away
But then something happened
Someone called my name
I turned to look
You didn't see
The gun she was aiming
But it wasn't at me
I looked back at you
And suddenly I knew
No matter what it cost
The one that needed me the most
Was you
So I jumped in front of the gun
Without a second thought
All I knew was that you needed me
And I couldn't live without you
I didn't think about the pain
Or the sacrifice
And for a moment it became unclear
That moment before I saw your face
Then you looked down at me
And I up at you
And if I'm not mistaken
I think that you knew
Just what my actions said
No words were needed
The unspoken 'I love you'
Hung in the air
I heard you calling my name
Trying to bring me back
But my mind was fading
And quickly it turned black
But the thought of your face
Is what got me through
And the hope of another chance
To finallly say I love you...
Singing on the stage
I felt every care
Just melt away
But then something happened
Someone called my name
I turned to look
You didn't see
The gun she was aiming
But it wasn't at me
I looked back at you
And suddenly I knew
No matter what it cost
The one that needed me the most
Was you
So I jumped in front of the gun
Without a second thought
All I knew was that you needed me
And I couldn't live without you
I didn't think about the pain
Or the sacrifice
And for a moment it became unclear
That moment before I saw your face
Then you looked down at me
And I up at you
And if I'm not mistaken
I think that you knew
Just what my actions said
No words were needed
The unspoken 'I love you'
Hung in the air
I heard you calling my name
Trying to bring me back
But my mind was fading
And quickly it turned black
But the thought of your face
Is what got me through
And the hope of another chance
To finallly say I love you...
