TAKE A STAND
Walking down the street
trying to find where two lines meet
Can't seem to let this go
Not allowed to stray from the road
Is this according to your plan?
It's a sin to be who I am
I've gotta take a stand
Nerd
Goth
Emo
Princess
This way of life is senseless
Strive to stand from the crowd
Try to find our own sound
But they all say we're posers
And we thought the struggle was over
We got to take our stand.
Wasted my life
just standing still
Time only serves
to depriciate your will
So for all those strange
The weak
And the strong
We can make a change
It's our right to belong
Grab your future while you can
It's time to TAKE A STAND
I could never believe
They thought it long ago fell
Why can't anyone see
History is repeating itself
Walking no road but one
It's time to get up and run

Take a Stand
This poem is basically about the pressures of life that i've been through in highschool....and also about the cliques that are always around us.
