Previously...
Court, Taylor and Kyle headed to a gas station to load up for their journey to who-knows-where, but have to leave when the cashier calls 911. Then Minerva showed her new, even more violent side by shooting her own husband, then forcing him to tag along on her quest to nab her daughter. Meanwhile, Sang sent his gryphon, Philophoser, after Court in an attempt to rip her soul from her body.

Sasha-Dahna paitently waited for her sister, Kira-Ana, to transform. Kira was always such a klutz. Skinny, with thick brown braids and glasses, one would guess Kira was a smart girl. But she wasn't. Sasha was the smart one. Beautiful, with long, curly brown hair and emerald-colored eyes, Sasha had spent many more years on studying the art of Shape-shifting than her sister.
"Please, Kira. Try," Sasha said calmly. "Just focus on your hands- imagine them turning into paws. Think about what a fox looks like."
"But, Sashi! It's too hard!" Kira complained, from her doggie position on the ground. They were in a forest in Montana, closer to Courtney than any of them really knew.
In fact, that's why they were there. Sasha-Dahna and Kira were looking for Courtney. She was just the thing they needed for their reseacrch into the "studies of Earth"- a ghost. You see, they had traveled, by tesseract, from their Dimension to Earth. They had been ordered to find a ghost and study it. People in the Seventh dimension knew almost nothing of the Earthen process of Death.
"Kira, sweetie, it isn't too hard. Just focus, for me, ok?"
"Fine," Kira grumbled. She pushed her glasses up on her nose, then sighed. "I'll try it again."
"Good."
Kira closed her eyes. "Getty, gehetty desomete." She thought hard about a fox. Red, bushy tail. Red, bushy tail. Green eyes. Cute. Fluffy.
She opened her eyes. "Oh my god! I did it, Dahna!"
"See?"
Kira, now alogside her sister was a fox, a bit smaller than the fox that was her older sister.
"Ok, Kira. We go together. Find this ghost child. Ok?"
"Great!"
The foxes bounded off into the night, together.

It had grown dark. We were walking in the forest alongside the highway, trying to find a place to sleep. Taylor had offered to pay for a hotel. if we could find one. Which was the problem.
"Maybe we could just sleep here," I said.
"But I know there's a hotel up here somewhere!" Taylor insisted. "It's by Discontinuity Lake."
"Well, where is Disconity Lake, then?"
"Discontinuity."
"Whatever."
Kyle was sleeping on my shoulder. I swear that kid could sleep through a hurricane.
"Discontinuity Lake is a few miles up here." Taylor bit a nail. "It goes alot faster when you take a car."
I rolled my eyes at him, then sighed. I had the distinct feeling something had been following us, closely. Every now and then I could hear leaves rustle behind us, or a twig break. I couldn't bear it any longer.
I put Kyle down and gently shook her awake. I whirled around, to face whatever was behind us.
"Ok, if anyone is following us, you'd better come out now," I said. "'Cause if you don't, I will come find you."
Nothing for a few seconds. Then there was a rustle in the underbrush. A cat walked out in front of me, then sat down by my feet.
"Mew."
It was all black, aside from a white patch of fur on its' chest.
"Meow."
"Nice kitty." I pet it gently. It came up closer, rubbing against my legs.
"Mewl..."
"What's with the cat?" Kyle asked, yawning at the same time.
"I have no idea."
"Get out of here!"
Who said that? I looked around. It seemd that the voice had come from the cat. Maybe it was my Voice.
"Huh?"
"Now! Something's coming for you, you have to leave!"
I looked down at the cat. It was staring at me. Then it opened its' mouth.
"Now! Leave!"
The cat was talking! It was a boy! My jaw dropped, and I glared at it.
"Aren't you listening?" He demanded.
"Uh, I..."
Screeech...
"What the hell was that?" I barked.
Screech!
"Ow!" The noise was way too loud. I covered my ears. Was I finally going insane? I looked around but didn't see anything. I heard the sound of wings. Big flapping wings. But, before I could turn around and notice a freaking Gryphon was trying to pick me up, I felt the intense, searing pain of its' claws latching into my back. I screamed.
So much for not being able to feel.
(I'm so sorry this one is cut off so soon, but I really, really have to leave, like NOW!!!)
