I hate to say that times have changed.
When I was a little girl I idolized you.
But my faith in you is leaving.
You left me here to go live your own life,
Even though it wasn't your fault I still resent you.
I tried to hold onto you for as long as I could
Until one day I just didn't care anymore.
I was crushed at this revelation
But I didn't do anything to stop it.
I've nearly lost all hope in you
And when I sit in the room that was once yours
But now is mine,
I feel myself turning into you.
I hate you for getting a chance to leave this place
But i realize I'm glad I don't have your life.
I'm trying to learn from your mistakes
Because the memory of you weighs me down everyday
And I don't want it anymore.
