Behind the podium he gives his lines
Telling us they must pay for their crimes
Not giving us a chance to hear other sides
Behind lies and patriotism he hides
Power is the one thing he wants most
Even if it mean making monsters from ghosts
Why has he been so quickly taken by
This power that drives him again to lie
He calls them hears even as they fall
On top of their bodies, he speaks and stands tall
Using their sacrifice to bump up the polls
As Iraqis wait dying, with empty bowls
Why does no one speak against him?
Tell him it’s better to be just than to win
Why do we let him screw us on his mission?
Why can’t we silence the broken politician?
