Helped Me

A thank you poem would not be enough to express my gratitude
You have showed me so much and made me more proud of myself
Believe in me, I know you do and I will try to too, sometimes I am blind
Can't see myself how others said they have seen me, glad I met you
Making me see so much more of me, learning new things, feeling better
Don't feel like such a let down when I talk to you, because I trust you
Even though I am unable to see it in myself most of the time,
It helps to know that you do, because you are my sister, part of my family
You are just so very true, like me, but still different, makes you so unique
We aren't blood related, nor ever met in person, but you are close to me
Understand my heart, knowing the real me, the one who cares so much
Think I have more to offer than you, but it isn't true, you turned me around
You made my life and this world a better place, my mind is more peaceful
And this is all since I started talking to you, don't doubt me, I don't doubt you
I'll try to understand why you see me as you do, look at myself with your eyes
But will you look at you with my eyes and see how much you truly mean to me
Will you love you as I do, know you are a great person and a wonderful friend
Helped me through so much and I remain here to help you too, but thank you
All you have done for so many means so much, you're so very strong
Your excperience made you fight for everyoen else, maybe not yourself
But know I would fight for you, if I had too, I'd fall down too so you wouldn't be alone
You'd know someone was right there with you, but we would make it through
I wouldn't let you give up, not when I could save you, sorry you feel let down
Not by me, but by so many others, want you to know I plan on staying, remain true
Forced me to accept, in a way, that I can't help everyone, not all will open up
Too scared or too hurt, but I still feel as if it were my fault, should try more
But then I think I have tried too much and that is what made me mess up
Thank you for catching me, because I did fall, but I am standing again
You can offer things I can't, because of your wonderful spirit
A heart you have unlike anyone else's, can't tell you as much as I want to
I am running out of words to use, but know many more good things about you
The figther who thinks you aren't very strong, but so much stronger than me
A giver that hardly ever receives, but I will give to you too, I'm not so greedy
Understand how you see me, can you now see how I see you too?
