The weathers getting colder,
The skies are getting gray,
But you'll never get to see it
Because God took you away.
I miss hearing you laugh,
seeing your big, bright smile.
I know I'll see you again one day,
It just might be awhile.
Your son looks just like you,
he's got all of your features.
I never thought God could take someone so fast,
I should have listened to the preachers.
Now we sit and mourn the loss of our best friend,
the loss of a father, the loss of a great man.
It's hard waking up and not hearing your voice,
But this is what God wanted.
God had made his choice.
One day we'll live in peace,
breaking bread and drinking wine.
I can't wait for that day to come,
When I cross that golden line.
Now you have wings,
You wear a halo for a hat.
I know you're in a better place,
But I'd give anything to bring you back.
Life is not fun, it's not beautiful or great.
It's just something we have to bear with,
Until we make it to the gates.
Promise me you'll wait for us,
Stand there with a smile.
Open your arms for us,
We'll be there in awhile.
I LOVE YOU JARRETT CALDWELL
