One special night... (a sad poem)

it was one special night
this couple had plans
a day together
this night it began
they went in the car
and put on the belt
safe to go
was all they felt
the boy starts the car
and heads for the beach
as they went
an accident unleashed
the boy was knocked out
the girl was afraid
another car had came
only one was saved.
the boy was at the hospital
wounded and scarred
the girl didn’t make it
from a hit that was hard
He woke up one morning
on the hospital bed
from a sound of a voice
"wake up" it said
The doctor walked in
mother came too
he opened his mouth
saying "who are you?"
mother was frozen
the doctor walked out
he doesn’t remember
the night he was out.
he looked at the picture
that sat next to him
a girl and a boy
he knew that his him
"who is that girl?" he asked
"and why am I here?"
mother answered sadly, "that girl is your lover
she saved you my dear."
