Scent of Flowers

A little Waka (Japanese poem, like a Haiku but with two extra lines) I wrote. I really need to sleep now.

Created by ResM on Monday, August 25, 2008

花のより
色の思い出
これ死ねぬ
真冬の暗さ
にも見えるかな

Said:
Hana no yori
(more than flowers)/ Iro no omoide (the memory of colours)/ kore shinenu (this cannot die)/ mafuyu no kurasa (the darkness of true winter)/ nimo mieru kana (Can still be seen in)
Translation (meaning, not literal):
More than flowers, the memory of their colours can never die. Even in the depths of this winter, I can still see them.
I may not be entirely correct in my grammar and word-use. I am still but a lowly student. 頑張ります!
