Sittin in my bedroom,
Watching some TV,
Nothing had prepared me
For this huge catashrophe.
The ground started to rumble,
And I fell to the floor,
The TV smashed, the shelves fell down,
And then so did my door.
I stumbled to the kitchen,
But my mum wasn't there,
The thought that now she might be dead
Was just too much to bear.
I called out for my parents,
And then saw them outside,
The chunks of roof that fell on them
Made my eyes open wide.
Once it was finally over,
In shock i looked around,
The place I'd grown to know so well
Had tumbled to the ground.
My feet were sore and bleeding,
A brick had hit my head,
The thing that made me cry though
Was the pile of people dead.
The place is now filled with rubble,
Where I wish I'd never been,
That awful day in China's
One I wish I'd never seen.
China Earthquake 2008
