This one is for the veterans,
Tough and strong.
This one if for the WWII soldiers,
For moving along.
This one is for the deceased,
Cold in the ground.
This is so they can remember what happened to that town.
In Hawaii on a windy day,
An attack was planned, for this: Japan would pay.
Little did they know, they were to be defeated y the great atom bomb.
The Manhattan Poroject would pull through,
The Axis powers would surrender,
It wouldn't be long.
Far over, across the Atlantic Ocean,
America, Briain, France, the Neatherlands, Poland, and the Soviet Union showed their devoion.
The Germans proved to be a worthy defence,
Fighting for Egyptian land at their own expense.
No good it did them, for D-day proved to ve done by force,
At Normandy in France, we stormed the beaches of course!
After that it saw smooth sailing for the US,
There was so much to do, but Truman didn't stress.
Kicking it into gear at Hiroshima, but not calling it a day,
But the Japanese refused to see things our way.
Japan wouldn't give up, and so again we tried,
Dropping a second bomb, hoping to turn their tide.
On exactly September 2nd, of 1945,
Japan signed a peace treaty, a move to their wise.
And so the story comes to an end,
Justice came through.
In the end,
This one was for you.
Yes, you America!
You are why we fight,
You are why we give our blood, sweat, and tears, and continue to march through the night.
You are why we let our soldiers die,
But they would have died in vain if we didnt let our flag fly.
A signal of victory done the American way,
At wo Jima, the flag is forever to stay.
