A Small Plea
I'm only in college
In a class full of girls and one guy
One girl complains that everyone has a ring
Engaged to wed
Her finger remains naked as well as mine
I don't care if my finger is naked
I care that there is no man to cover my nakedness
Someone to hold me whenI weep...
When I'm frightened...
When I'm overjoyed...
I don't want the ring right now
Just a guy to love me through tears, nerves, and glee
In a class full of girls and one guy
One girl complains that everyone has a ring
Engaged to wed
Her finger remains naked as well as mine
I don't care if my finger is naked
I care that there is no man to cover my nakedness
Someone to hold me whenI weep...
When I'm frightened...
When I'm overjoyed...
I don't want the ring right now
Just a guy to love me through tears, nerves, and glee
