From the rooftop I look down,
Upon all that is the town,
In the yard behind one's home,
A woman sits in her pool alone,
By the window of a school,
A child sits through all that is cruel,
By the pond lives a toad,
Beneath the leaf that's his abode,
In the front of someone's house,
A man sits in a happily with his spouse,
And then I look up and see something surprising,
A figure atop the building beside me,
From the rooftop they look down,
Upon of that is the town.
From the Rooftop
