She waits...
She wonders...
Will he save her?
Keep her a way from all harm?
Will he comfort and care?
Keep those tears at bay?
Will he be the one to break down those walls?
She can only hope.
When will he come along?
Next week, month, year?
Maybe she'll have to wait forever,
All to do is dream.
She longs to be held,
Have her lips kissed,
Her heart embraced,
To always stay complete.
She wishes for that day,
Every night she promises,
She'll keep waiting,
But for now must carry on.
Her heart witholds one tear,
She doesn't want them streaming,
That's why she waits,
That's why she hopes.
Many souls have been killed,
Hers is simply lost,
She's calling for him,
But only an echo replies.
Although it's taking time,
She will not yet shatter,
That strong thread of love,
It keeps her together.
For now she'll stay alone,
She will only dream,
Just hope he's worth the wait,
For she can love with immense strength,
All she wants to do is give...
