I'm sorry, my love, but I have bad news to say

I was diagnosed with Cancer today

Don't feel bad, my love, I may not die

You needn't yet mourn, you needn't yet cry

I'm sorry, my love, but think of it as a journey

I'm not yet dead, though I lay in this gurney

Don't worry, my love, I'll put up a good fight

I will not let this be the end of my life

I'm sorry, my love, but I feel so weak

But don't yet let those tears roll down your cheek

It's not over yet, that I can promise you

Cheer up, I hate seeing you so blue

I'm sorry, my love, but it's getting to me

I no longer think I can survive this disease

Grab my hand, love, and hold on tight

For this could be my very last night

I'm afraid our time was not meant to last

You really mean so much to me

I hate that you I have to leave

I'm sorry, but I see a light, love

I'll put in a good word for you up above
