Break (up) proof vases...
i've already drank
more today
then i did at yule, new year, the leavers party, my birthday and last friday
and i think you can gues why
that bastard
well following the tradition of ex girlfrinds everywhere i'm going to get rid all of all the junk i accumulated over the years we've been together.
1) a stripy ceramic vase that we won or i won at a fair (we pulled the ticket out together and i'm the only one who has flowers)
apparantly break resistant or bouncy or whatever they call unbreakable things these days
funny, it didn't seem to resist breaking when i threw it at the wall
with the flowers inside that i had to buy myself because he never did
the flowers are fine, wooden roses last longer then boyrfriends, but the vase is currently sitting
all neatly wrapped up in newspaper in case someone cuts their finger
in the black wheelie bin at the back of my house
but i had to go out in the rain to put it there
nice weather for a breakup
appropreate
2) a mostly drained bottle of baileys mint chocolate that was left over from december and i had decided not to drink but did anyway
nothing to do with him but it is also in pieces with the vase in the bin and it is the reason i have to look twice before typing this
3)a torn up prinkish red rose taken from my own garden because on day i saw it and thought that it would look nice wit the wooden roses in the vase. roses (like hearts and vases) don't like being thrown agaisnt the wall by enranged and screaming women.
4) the memory of a thousand walks home in the wind and rain and mud and puddles down a little short cut that i don't go down very often but went with him purely becuase he was there
but not the heart that beats reluctantly inside my chest. i'll stick that back together with glue and tape and chocolate and friends and laughter and leave that where it is. no man is worth giving that up...
