Numbness
Lose yourself, It’s okay.
Your loved ones care, but do it anyway.
Take a sip, let your mind slip,
The numbness will eventually come to play.
No ones forcing you, it’s your own choice.
Take a hit, you’ll soon hear a voice,
It should be telling you to slow down and think,
But instead it says to do it, take another drink.
These drugs they make you feel sky high,
Like nothing can touch you and you’ll never die.
As you slip into a mindless state,
Say goodbye to the world, it’s too late.
I crave it.
I need it.
I breathe it in.
Numbness, a sign, that I gave in.
