Remember all those summer days
We walked hand in hand
We laughed and talked and held each other
And didn’t care what any one had to say
Now you let this rumor tear us limb from limb
You should know not to listen
For what they say I never did
The rumor is so shocking and unbelievably not true
She was just jealous
Of what you ask?
Well of course, me and you
She wanted what we had and knew she never would
So she made a plan to break us and I guess her plan came true
If you really loved me and if you really cared
You’d know that I’m not lying and you’d know that I do care
But since you don’t believe what I am trying to get through to you
I guess that we weren’t meant to be and now we are truly through
