To ask you to be my Valentine,
I'll have to talk to you,
Something that in all this time,
I've tried not to do.
I'll have to pass just saying "Hi",
To prove to you that I care,
But the right Time is never there
Especially when you're there.
It's as if a wall of fear, stops me.
Transparent yet solid and strong,
Comes out of nowhere as you come near
Making me speechless.
I know, I wont know what to say,
Making you think I'm a fool,
Or you'll be glad to get away,
Polite not to be cruel.
Easier to dream than to act,
To hope than to find out,
So fearful of the force of fact
I wait in fear filled doubt.
But now the day of LOVE has come,
And I must cross its line,
And to ask you through this poem,
Will your be my valentine?
