Its Own Defeat (by Lauren)
The melody that sings a song
of winter's bitter breeze and fear
Smiles are forgotton and blown away
and accumliating tears
And comes the unforgivable sickness
of hearts that freeze
in the cold December air
that makes your hair frizzed and teased
And the sun sleeps behind the clouds
fearing the bitter cold will rush
to his aura like rings
and, like the moon, he will flush
And time just freezes there
as the snow begins to fall
No voices heard
None at all
And the echo of the eerie
and mysterious gloom
As if your not alone here
in this empty room
And mother moon sings to the sun
to come out and heat
The earth is in its own depression
and soon its own defeat
of winter's bitter breeze and fear
Smiles are forgotton and blown away
and accumliating tears
And comes the unforgivable sickness
of hearts that freeze
in the cold December air
that makes your hair frizzed and teased
And the sun sleeps behind the clouds
fearing the bitter cold will rush
to his aura like rings
and, like the moon, he will flush
And time just freezes there
as the snow begins to fall
No voices heard
None at all
And the echo of the eerie
and mysterious gloom
As if your not alone here
in this empty room
And mother moon sings to the sun
to come out and heat
The earth is in its own depression
and soon its own defeat
