Saw you from across the room
And suddenly a wave of shock
Hit me from every side
Insanity became unlocked
Heart pounding, then it came,
upon arrival, now insane,
drove reality away
disturbing thoughts then came to play
made no sense for my heart to pound
10,000 times, and now astound,
bewildered at the change of thoughts
excited me, and now distraught
Couldn't find specific cause
to make me think of...love? For naught,
Can't be real, no sense it makes
to think of you at all today
and then, what luck, now beside
me you sit, that sudden high
I get, heart pounding now,
a vice-like grip, oh how it's LOUD
And now your features come to mind,
and though i wish i could deny
the thoughts kept me awake tonight
to think, for a moment, love's first sight
(this is) anything but love
