A seed is planted
Dig deep you’ll find it
Virulent and foul
This seed I stowed is
Not one of justice
No, it’s lethal and it will spread
Throughout you
First it will corrode your soul
Then swallow you whole
Penetrate your quivering skin
The venom spreads and takes control
Stains the innocence within
You need it
All hope demolished
Faith…devastated
Bolt to the exit
And watch it dwindle
Before your searing eyes
No egress
No savior
Just lie down and resign yourself to what was done
Remember all that’s gone
Beaten, snagged and lost
Changed and deranged
This is what you are
Your stopped heart in my fist
It’s what you crave now
Watch as it grinds
