Slither, back and forth
Fell the sensation
Slither, slip
Cup the faith in your hands
Watch it steal from your grasp
Dripping, dripping
Slipping away
Clutch the warmth
Keep it close
Relish the air in your chest
Don’t let yourself choke
Or wither away
Stumble, collapse
Unexplained…
