glass promises
I've screwed you over too many times
to let this last one slip away,
but what will I do when the year ends?
This has taken so much longer than I'd hoped.
Everyone in the world's just fine
with the fact that I let you slip away.
What whill I do when I run out of friends?
I don't think anyone knows.
Shuffle the deck again,
cut me in.
How does Saturday sound to you?
Ragdoll bodies and formaldehyde,
life is a long, hectic ride,
but what can you do?
I've broken too many glass promises
to myself after all this time.
Will power leaked out of my tears
until there was nothing left.
I've learned enough to know that this is
just how it goes, it's alright.
After all of these long years
I've figured it out at last.
to let this last one slip away,
but what will I do when the year ends?
This has taken so much longer than I'd hoped.
Everyone in the world's just fine
with the fact that I let you slip away.
What whill I do when I run out of friends?
I don't think anyone knows.
Shuffle the deck again,
cut me in.
How does Saturday sound to you?
Ragdoll bodies and formaldehyde,
life is a long, hectic ride,
but what can you do?
I've broken too many glass promises
to myself after all this time.
Will power leaked out of my tears
until there was nothing left.
I've learned enough to know that this is
just how it goes, it's alright.
After all of these long years
I've figured it out at last.
