enlightenment

love somebody today, tomorrow might be too late
save somebody from a hollow faith
derived out of an emotional breakdown
pray from the depths of your soul that they'll be okay
don't live on the surface of your existence
don't be downhearted by your own insignificance
believe what you will, listen to everything else
you'll find what is real beyond your own self
enlighten your epiphany and never go back
you're not alone so cut the world some slack
breathe to keep fighting, not for a lie
live to keep living, not for when you die
sing at the top of your lungs and stand up
and dance and dance until the sun has come up
so when it's over you won't have any regrets
you may have a few sins to confess
but what do you expect?
just take it easy, life goes on
if death is just life in the making, hold on
and die a happy soul
and scream your rock and roll
and be glad you ever had the chance at all
to stand up and breathe, take the hit, and fall.
