My heart's been beating rapidly for the past 300 daysand I've got butterflies in my stomach strong enough to bring me to my knees.The first stop is denial,then comes acceptance.But I'm stubborn, and I'm arrogant.I won't accept this.I know I'll end up hurt, in some way or another.I don't trust me enough to be myself.I get embarrassed and I act like a fool.I stumble so easily,my tongue becomes tied.I think of a million things to say, but the only air escapes.Inhale, exhale, I need to concentrate on that.I say I don't love him because I don't know what love is,I say I'm not smitten with him, but I think I lied.I say I don't wish for him, but secretly that's a lie, too.
