Never Hurt Her

I know that most people won't read this, so I don't really know why I'm writing this. Anyway, I'd better get my point across quickly so that those of you who ARE reading this can read the poem. This poem was made because of my step-father. If any of you reading this have had abusive parents (this one focuses on verbal abuse with a father, but you can imagine a mother in this situation, too) then you will be able to relate. I know that this can be a touchy topic, but I have a tendancy to bring out the most depressing and sad topics imaginable. I hope that those of you who are or have experienced abuse in any form, that you will be able to find an outlet to make yourself feel better. Poetry is my outlet. Anyway, enjoy. (By the way, write down in order the words in bold for a secret message that is the basis of my poem... Skip the line that is underlined and in bold)

She can't love you anymore
She has tried and tried to please you
But in the end, only you can please you
You may have yet to realize
You're missing her
Life is passing you by with all your lies
She has always stood by you
And supported your foolish problems and selfish needs-
Self-induced issues
I can't love you any longer
I will never see you the same way as before
Nothing I say will ever change you, I've learned this- and more
You've become what you hate
My sore heart will never heal at this rate
Let's face it- I hate you
You have taken my trust and ripped it apart
Just like you do everything else of mine:
My heart
My music
My love
My soul
My life

You can hurt me all you want, but you've taken it too far this time
Never,
Ever
Hurt my mother
