My heart beats; flutters as he looks at me
As he walks by me keeping our eyes locked
Walking to extraordinary beauty
Pain incased my chest as if I were shocked.
As the pain swells I slowly become numb
Remembering sweet pain filled memories
His eyes full of love for her struck me dumb
Withdrawing into my mind finding peace.
With much conviction I speak to myself
His choice; her because of her open love
My own fault for losing him, not herself
ForI am a silently broken dove.
I understand now that I must be pained
For him, a lovely beast, love to be gained.
