The Stars and Me
I'll sit in the widowsill,
And stare at the sky,
Clenching my heart,
I still wonder why.
I sit and count each tiny star,
As tears roll down my cheek,
I become more and more sad,
Every day of the week.
The stars always shine,
Without any care,
I still clench my heart,
And say,"It's not fair."
Since you went away,
I've been lonely as can be,
And now all that's left,
Is the stars and me.
And stare at the sky,
Clenching my heart,
I still wonder why.
I sit and count each tiny star,
As tears roll down my cheek,
I become more and more sad,
Every day of the week.
The stars always shine,
Without any care,
I still clench my heart,
And say,"It's not fair."
Since you went away,
I've been lonely as can be,
And now all that's left,
Is the stars and me.
