The left veers to divinity
Right goes serendipity
The lane chosen is remarkably my own
Drawn its simple path with nothing but a stone
Straight down the path peers a slight view of establishment
A few huts, and few cars and a scent of abandonment
Judging as it seems that my road is going nowhere
I stop to think if I should even approach there
Still following my guilty road I soon become famished
Realizing my chance of divinity and serendipity has vanished
The food that I do have below me has spoiled
Wasted minerals and a dead snake that was left coiled
I trot as far as I go and do see a venue
Thanking that this hard driven road shall not continue
The mirage that I saw soon became a dream
The gleam, it seems was only just a scheme
Suicidal thoughts on this paved road to nowhere
Leaving my head shattered wishing I didn't have the go here
On my last leg I see another gleam, a new land
And through the sand, I feel that my body will start to disband
Fighting through the pain I arrive at a summit
Looking at a strange land I lift off as I start to plummet
The head trauma I was given by the leap was unbearable
The distant land I saw once was feeling like a parable
Beautiful hills, scattered forests, nature everywhere
Looking at the things around me I could not recall my despair
My path was correct
It brought me to the promised land
Through the fire
Through the hate
Through the ever bearing sand
And now I walk through my path on this vast mountain range
With nothing but a head of dreams and a pocket full of change.
