Oceana blues deeper than the sea
That washes up the shore embankment
That washes over me
Salty little sob sounds
Floating on the breeze
Catch in my throat and suffocate
Because crying does not become me
So I catch your teardrops on my tongue
Just a flimsy taste
On this island of me, stranded
In a foreign hostile place
Wishing you were really here to find some beauty in my worn face
Wishing I could really catch your teardrops
Count them to fill up this space
Oceana blues
I'm an island by myself
Shrouded in undiscovery
Miles away from anyone else
I feel so lonely, lost without you
But I won't ask for help
I dream in motion pictures of your body
My sanctuary and my cell
Sing a song, I sing a song
Wishing you were here
Achy words drip out all day long
They'll never reach your ear
All alone because you left me
Struggling without you
Still you'd never know it
I'll never show it
I'll just sit here and sing my oceana blues
Oceana
I'll speak the same until it breaks my jaw, and it breaks my heart to see you this way. So I'll pray for the day, that new things will come to wash these ones away. Pic is billie by STix2000 from deviantart.comDid you like this poem? Write one of your own!
