Inside my Mind (part 3)
In a crowded room, I feel alone,
Surrounded by family and I feel empty,
On the outside you may see me smile,
But you'll never know how empty I feel inside.
My pride prevents me from asking for help,
My shame immobilizes me,
What I need I cannot ask for,
Because then it loses its value.
What I need cannot by given by just anyone,
Because then it will lose it's importance.
And what I need can no longer be given,
Because it no longer exists.
Emotions, unfamiliar, flood my mind,
Washing over my previous thoughts and soaking my consciousness with wariness...
I cry for help but no-one listens,
I try to grasp safety but it slips through my fingers.
