A Birthday Wish
Riisa, you always have been good to me;
You’ve always been my friend;
And even though you’re moving on;
I know this isn’t our end;
You have taught me many different things;
Including many flips;
And when I fall or drop the ball;
You’re there with many tips;
Now here we are after all these years;
Filled with toil and torment;
And yet I find that I can be;
Proud of the time I’ve spent;
With you I am happy;
With you I can’t be sad;
With you I am certain;
That life is worth the bad;
So here I am, in modern day:
Writing you this poem;
About all that we have ever shared;
About all that we have owned;
I write because I am happy;
I write because I’m sad;
But I intend on making sure that;
Your birthday isn’t bad;
We’re going to rock your house;
We’re going to lift your soul;
And by the end of the night;
I’ll make sure that your heart is whole;
It will not be split;
It will not have a scar;
‘Cause even though you’re moving;
You know where your real friends are;
Even though we’re here;
And you will soon be there;
You must always realize;
That we are with you everywhere;
We love the way you laugh;
We love the way you shriek;
We love the way you kick and scream;
But we also love when you speak;
You talk the truth;
You scream the lies;
So we can differentiate;
When your soul wears a disguise;
So when you told me the hard truth;
I knew it was no lie;
And so I have to make sure;
That this party doesn’t die;
Though this is not it;
I feel like I should say;
I hope that in this last present;
You see me every day;
Because this is personal;
From one fan to the next;
I hope you will always;
Always like me the best;
I will always feel;
Iwill always miss;
andso hereat the end;
You shall owe meone lastkiss;
Good Luck and May You Soar!
